Then again, I play FFXIV on my computer (using a 360 controller, but still) >.>;;

Then again, I consider MMOs in general one step above social network games, slightly better than facebook..............

because in an interview, they said they didnt want wow to be on console due to their limitations, and i agree, FF14 is much easier then wow because it needs to cater to console players, it has far less theory crafting needed to maximise the specs in this game. its not a case of cant, its a case of wont

Everyone is different. I can only speak for myself, but I often make more personal mistakes while I am on a Voip. Hearing a lot of fast chattering voices right in my ear throws me off at times. That may just me though.

I'm not fully convinced that it makes things that much easier, either. Reminds me of a group I joined for Titan HM. Majority were in a voice chat, yet that still didn't stop them from eating landslides and plumes. The 3 of us who weren't in that voip, weren't the ones wiping that instance.

I don't know how coil turn 4 and beyond is like, but the turns before then I could see easily being done without a voice chat. I rarely need to say anything, and anything worth hearing I usually notice before anyone begins to address it. I can understand some people aren't like this. Just always a shame when people force voip on you, but that's to be expected unless you make your own group.

I'd also like to add, not everyone on PS3 has their PC near by or even find a need to own a laptop. It's also too much to assume that random PS3 player has an android or iphone smartphone. You'd be amazed at the people who don't care to upgrade. I own a windows smartphone and Skype (Which no one uses.) is the only compatible option for my version. I've been getting by, by using a droid of someone I live with. (Kinda silly when you think about it. lol) Even then, it's very uncomfortable for me personally.

Okay, we get you're a PC elitist from all your posts but can you just stop with this garbage that you continue to come up with already? You never have anything meaningful to say and it just makes you look like an idiot. Nobody wants to hear it either.

I don't really think PC users are really breaking away from PS3 users. I rarely see people shouting for mumble and the like. They'd just like to have a better form of communication because of how difficult some raids can be. Also, as a PS3 user that joined a mumble group for the first time last week, I now understand why they'd prefer voice chatting. It makes strategizing a lot easier. If you don't have anything you can use to voice chat but are experienced in whatever you're participating in then some groups won't mind that at all.
