Final Fantasy XI -> Japanese release date May 16, 2002 -> Thursday
Final Fantasy XII -> Japanese release date March 16, 2006 -> Thursday
Final Fantasy XIII -> Japanese release date December 17, 2009 -> Thursday

Please note almost all USA release dates are a Tuesday, XIV Collectors was a Tuesday, Only the XIV Regular Edition was a Thursday, FFX was released on a Friday and FFVII on a Sunday...which seems weird to me. So it does seem there is a few oddball release dates here and there but the vast majority of the FF games were released in USA on Tuesdays.

I'm not going to engage in the debate of this topic because everything is just baseless speculation, especially since you've posted in other threads that you are aware that various sites have posted information inaccurately, prematurely, and/or falsely. Square Enix is a Japanese company. I'm quite sure you're aware of the fact that the american release dates are quite a lot less relevant than the Japanese ones (if not completely irrelevant).

August though...right around the end of Summer, so a lot of content is planned to be input by then. If it goes at least as well as the plan looks I'll be willing to pay for the game. Though plans have a nasty habit of failing.

So...we'll see, I guess. The next patch will be a good indicator of what exactly the pacing for the next few months could be and what they're prioritizing after the battle system.

Because 70% of your market share's release date is less important than your home country's. If that were the case, they would not have bended knee to the notorious Tuesday release scheming that America has had for the last few years.

I just haven't had a game that would interfere with school work since freshman year. I'm now a senior, kinda sad :/. FFXI fell off for me like sophomore year, and then I started up XIV at open beta. But it still hasn't totally made me want to not shower for two weeks (exaggeration) and pull all nighters.
