Petition for Crystal Tower should be 24 man not 8 man pugs

Before launch, we were told that CT would be released as a 24 man raid with 3 groups of 8. You obviously assume that means that you can create your own 24 man raid and attempt CT.

For them to release this and say "OH HAI GUYS, you have to pug the remaining 16 people" is ridiculous. SE, at the very least admit this was a mistake and please tell us by when this nonsense will get fixed.

Obviously assume? No, I would only have assumed that had they said 1 24 man group, not 3 8 man groups. Plus it was a month or so back when they stated that CT would essentially be three groups working independently towards a common goal (something like that). Doesn't sound like a single 24 man group to me.

To come out now saying this is a surprise, and you didn't expect it means you either didn't read enough or didn't understand what you read.

I admit, my heart sank when I learned that the Crystal Tower would not be released in 2.0. And then now it will be released, but without support for more than one FC/server/friend-formed party.

I would prefer to have CT pushed back to support Alliance style, if it's being seen as the "vanity" and "for fun", "not required for progression" content.

Why?

Because people will burn out on it even in its current form before 2.2. The way that folks may have stopped running Castruum, Praetorium, Amdapor Keep, and most likely, will stop running Wanderer's Palace.

Cry about it? Gives you a chance to meet people outside of your comfort zone. You get to sync into it with a full man made party and most of the time the 3 parties will be separated anyhow.

Your petition needs to read more like this; Petition to delay CT until 2.2 or to make Alliances work in 2.1

As they are already working on a fix for 2.2 (we'll see, SE has a track record that is pretty bad) your petition is redundant.

We really shouldn't have to wait another 3-4 months to get basic group functionality that every other MMO out there already has. Squee knew CT was going to be a 24 man thing. It's horrifically short-sighted of them to design their dungeon finder and party system in such a way that actively prevents people from creating 24-person groups.

That fix better come well before 2.2.

I'm thinking, thinking REAL hard, but i just can't seem to remember any MMOs that offered a Dungeon for 3 groups of players, with 3 separate paths for each group to take, with 3 separate loot tables and has fights that require 3 different parties to complete different objectives simultaneously ... Hell i cant even think of an MMO with a raid that required more than 1 Main Tank and sometimes and offtank that wasnt a gimmik (MageTank in Gruul and WarlockTank in Serpent)........

It sucks, but its' not going to be in the 2.1 launch. But they did say that in a future patch they will be adding an alliance system. The alliance system just didn't make it into 2.1
