To me this seems like some kind of priority issue at the server end or else cooldowns are triggered client side without any confirmation response from the server (extremely silly if that's the case). In issue 1 the server gets the second ability request while processing the first so the second request gets dropped but cooldown is triggered BEFORE the ability so you still lose the cooldown despite the server erroring on the ability. Issue 2 is if cooldown is triggered client side. You click the ability and as long as it's available to use it resets cooldown regardless of response from the server. Either one should be fixable so here's hoping they have something in the works for 2.1 I can see where this could require a large amount of debug on the dev side which may be why it hasn't been hotfixed. It isn't easy to test issues tied to networking on a dev build of a game you're playing over LAN or even connected to a dev server at the datacenter since the server wouldn't be under load.

That said, yeah...this is at it's worst when it happens with a skill with a tremendous cooldown. I never lag, really, never had latency issues, but this does happen to me. I'll click Perfect Balance, go to Snap Punch...it's still grey. I just blew my Perfect Balance on nothing. I just shrug and Dragon Kick, but it's annoying as hell. This is pretty rare of an occurrence though for me personally, maybe twice with PB, and about 4 or 5 times with IR/BFB since I've started in September.

Try swift casting a rez to find out swift cast didn't go off, but is now on CD.... good luck getting your rez now!

Happened again with Bloodbath.

The nice part about bloodbath, vs some other buffs, is that you can easily directly see if just the icon isn't showing or if you actually didn't get the buff.

And indeed, I did not get the buff. I hit bloodbath and foresight and none of my damage was healing me.

have you tired zooming your camera all the way out? in most cases it fixes the abilities getting eaten

And if all else fails, contact support between the hours of 9:00am and 9:01am, at which point everyone leaves early and all calls will be put on indefinite hold.
