It's been three months usually by now going by typical new mmo's we'd be bleeding subscribers. We haven't. SWTOR lost over 500,000 subscribers in 3 months. All new MMOs are perfectly fine the first few months - Let's wait until the dust settles and it's established. ARR is making a lot of mistakes that usually kills off new MMOs quickly, so we'll see how SE decides to handle it - XI still gets update at a pretty rapid pace, heck they get updates at the pace ARR is supposed to get updates, not the other way around.
The trick from XIV is Myth Caps.
If we removed the caps, everyone would had their gear and left.
To get a full gear takes probably 3-4 months for one Job. That keeps them subbing.
Not too sure on the months, I know If I got my Myth Robe thing it'll take me 3 weeks.
I guess they played smart there.
I would much rather be able to rerun Coil for Abysmal drop rates then to be locked out once a week. There is a problem when the toughest thing about the game is hitting the log in button.
1.0 didn't have a lot of content, but at least you could DO IT.

Then don't FATE grind? I'm doing Dungeons/levequests/Hunting logs and have 41 DRG ( sure it's not as fast but it gets the job done) When I see people hating FATEs but still do them anyways, makes me feel like they want to get to 50 asap (AKA Rushing). IMHO.

And this is another reason why Pre-Abyssea FFXI Endgame content should be added.
Content is this game seems like it becomes obsolete fast or just plain super boring.
1)Odin/Bahamut fates: No worth doing, so much lag, zergfest, gives seizures.
2)Speed run WP - Straight forward mindless grind.
3)Primals - one and done.
4)Coil - hard to setup, lockouts, statics.
So yeah more content is cool and all but I hope they are fun longer lasting ones. I mean is anyone going to be excited about a new fate to zerg? Lightning is it going to be any unique or just like Odin/Bahamut?

What happens when there are no more jobs/crafts to level? /mindblown
"I guess they played smart there." Nah its called SE is Greedy and just wants more of our money, So in order to do that they are forcing lockouts and caps so people will stay. And TBH if there was going to be more Content in the near future beside CT/CoB turn6+ then people would stay. But with lockouts and Caps they are going to lose people. Cause I for will leave the game if Crystal Tower is a lockout like some people say.The trick from XIV is Myth Caps.

Greedy? I suppose them doing 1.0 free for a year losing a lot of money ( paying employees, Keeping 1.0 servers up, making content *costs a lot of money*) all without get money. TBH with you, they gave more than received, to say they are greedy at this point is wrong on all accounts. What happens when there are no more jobs/crafts to level? /mindblown

Without them making money, the game won't last at all. That's the honest truth.
