Why do birds float? Petition to exterminate floating birds.

Have you ever noticed that buzzards/carrions just float around? Since when did birds just float around? If you ever walk down the street and see an eagle floating around, tell me, because i'd like to see that.

Why did SE decide to carry this trait over from FFXI? Of all the features at their disposal, they chose floating birds, I mean really?

SE, can you please delete these creatures from your database. Nobody fights them anyway so they won't even be missed and you can just give their drops to some other bird-mob until you figure out how to make a realistic-looking flying bird.

And by the way, this is a serious thread. I know you guys like to make superficial judgments about my threads, but please bear with me on this one.

And if you like floating birds... well fine... what ever floats your boat I guess. Or whatever floats your bird, as the case may be.

I always see them flying, what's the deal? They can't fly around like a real birds do because of coding.
I guess I just ain't bother by stuff like this in a video game, it is a mob in the game you fight it has to follow the ruleset of the world.

Floating birds are unnecessary to the game. The addition of floating birds to the game did not in fact, have the intended consequence of adding instant fun to the game over actual content. Besides I can not even get high enough on the hills around the birds to try to take one down. Pointless addition to the game. Besides, what is there, water in the sky for them to float on?

so the birds should be on the floor? humming birds float, apparently many birds hover as well,
while im sure youd love to see some bird dashing around hitting you, but i doubt youd want to fight it.

any game requires a certain suspension of disbelief, if you dont want to fight em dont fight em, doesnt mean they shouldnt exist

WE got walking birds already, Dodo's and we got hovering/flying birds, no point in deleting a mob because you don't like the way it looks. To some like myself I remember them well from FFXI and to me not having in them in the game especially after them already being here would be kind of dumb and a waste of time.

But why can't they fly around like real birds? Why? What excuse can you realistically give other than laziness? You cite "coding" as a reason, and you're correct. That's exactly what it is: poor coding.

Other MMOs have realistically flying birds. They only come down to eye level when you shoot them down.

Game obviously needs more UFOs and Sharks from CoP hell CoP had tons of cool new mobs. Antlions were the bomb, they dropkicked you for walking over them.

But to complain about "Floating" birds they seem to fly fairly well too me. is just asanine.
