Ps3 users severely hindered. no k/m support.. Any news on this?

My cousin plays on the playstation 3. I have became aware that playstation users although they allow keyboard + mouse plug in, are still forced to use playstation controllers to move/play the game.

Problem? : He will never be able to truly enjoy the game because the keybind settings for the system controller arent as good, arent as easily accessed as a keyboard and mouse would allow. We were under the impression that since keyboard and mouse are enabled, that he would of been able to switch to PC hotbar UI/ click / WASD control.

Playstation 3 fates still having problems rendering compared to a PC. We played together and running fates was a nightmare. Rendering things only after 3/4 of a fate is done and thus earning him bronze / silver only since he isnt performing optimally due to mobs not displaying.

Why would you allow the PC version to ship with functionality for both, but not ship the PS3 version to do the same? why wreck their experience?

They've already said that the PS3 will not support K+M controls. Only the PS4 version will support true K+M controls.

Stuff taking time to load is simply a limitation of the system. Not much can be done about that.

Though I'll have to disagree with playing with a controller being that bad compared to K+M.

I dont know why they would release a game for a system that cant handle it / run at current version at normal settings/ features. What else is Ps3 missing?

But the PS3 CAN handle the game. Its just not perfect.

I know that I'm pretty happy that I can play the game on my PS3.

not sure what class you play or if there is a newer version of ps3 that handles better but- being a tank on the system an trying to switch between mobs frantically, mark efficiently, ETc.. is impossible without the use of TONS of macros and even then- it is not the same as you dont want to always launch 10 lines of code if you need only 1 line in the middle of it(( ie; 6 spell chain, all 5 on cooldown except 1)

Tanking with a controller is no where near as difficult as you want to make it seem.

Yes, I can't just click on a mob to target it like I would with a mouse, but its certainly not impossible to do on a controller, hell, its not even hard to do on a controller. Not even sure why you believe there's a need for "tons of macros" either. Just get used to switching between cross-bars.

I totally agree with this. No idea why they'd put this out for ps3 when it runs so poorly on the console. I waited years for this game to come out for the ps3 so i could play, and for the product i got, i was very disappointed. I just wish they would have skipped the ps3 all together. I knew there would be limitations, like graphical and stuff but, even basic functions don't work well. Try doing fates around 7PM PST in the highlands on ps3 and tell me we got a fair deal.

Did they say that pre -release" ? because if they did we missed it . I dont think he is getting a ps4 EVER, so.. Yeah. Good game, lost a customer sadly + probably me + more friends since.. they are all unhappy

How is he getting such low loading? I'm on ps3 and stuff loads fine for me might take a few seconds but it does load and I rarely see bronze or silver in fates mostly golds even when I'm soloing them while in a DF que.

Thats what im wondering. I mean, we were on at like 10 pm and running fates at cereulum proccessing plant like the dark devices etc. So many people lag him out and he cant target a mob until the bosses or fates are like 3/4 done. It takes forever. He has the fastest internet he can get too. It is a limit of the ps3 i understand but i mean imagine how much more you have to do to achieve the same level of play as a pc. The worst part was he was getting hit by the mobs but cant target them / see effects? like are you joking. No wonder people wanna quit if they play on ps3.
