    I was doing that test while queueing up a level 45 dungeon as a DPS so I had a lot of time to test, and one time the spell actually interrupted at around 0.5s hence I said at least 50%. 0.3 to 0.1s left is the common case yes, and yeah I was able to finish casting the spell quite a few times too but nothing actually happened (which makes sense, since you shouldn't be able to do this at all).

    For now I'm on the fence about turning on auto-renew.

    I want this to be my game of choice but there are so many flaws in the net code and end game.

    The story ends (badly) and there doesn't seem to be the kind of repeatable content (endless AK/WP runs...ewww) I can enjoy.

    They really need to work on this already. There is clearly a difference of when monsters actions show up on a PS3 vs a PC. I shouldn't have to memorize every monsters skill rotation and predict future events in my mind for a whole dungeon run just to have a chance of avoiding monster actions because of bad game design.

    If 100% of the time as a monsters action shows and said person can never move out of the way fast enough for the attack not to register on them. Then obviously the game needs to be reworked. I had less latency on my PS2 playing ffxi than PS3 and FF14 that should say enough.

    Here's something that really peeves me personally when healing.


    HP bars in 1.0 updated in smooth rolling numbers and rolled faster or slower depending on how much damage or HP recovery, the more damage and healing the faster they rolled and viceversa.


    HP bars in ARR update in chunks without any way of predicting where they'll end up, other than knowing how much the attack is going to hit for or how much you're going to cure for beforehand from previous experience or just winging it.

    Sure you can get around it and please tell me how much adapting to it is skillful and you don't want everything handled to you and feel free to throw in a jab at me dying in one of the gifs, because I'll end up agreeing with you in the end, but it's still annoying and the point is it's part of the game's latency issues.

    I still fail to understand how a game that was lambasted for having terrible UI lag had better and more smoothly updating HP bars than a game which its engine was entirely remade due to these UI lag issues in the first place, even worse because these UI delays seem to be implemented by design this time

    i'm really bothered that they decide to build the game into fast game of dodging and data respond ..
    but they forget to fix the data register problem.

    Well, not playing FF XIV since 5 days and somehow I don't miss it

    See they are not going to fix that problem any time soon, I just better not bother any more. I'll eventually come back in 4-5month when this game will have either new content or been turned into a F2P.
