Duty Finder while Fate Farming is fail

So many times now I have waited 30-40+ min on my bard for a dungeon using Duty finder and have been denied then being able to enter because I was "busy". It is starting to get really frustrating.

If you are in the middle of a fate on a different class and you are the duty finder pops up suddenly, you barely have enough time to get away and enter -- especially if you end up fighting inside of a cave that takes longer to get away from the mob, or if you accidentally grab aggro from a random mob while running away.

It seems like there should either be a longer timer on the withdraw for duty finder, or you should be able to change classes more quickly. It has happened twice to me already today when I was 40 minutes into the duty finder. What a waste of time ....

Even worst if you do fate/levequests ad ACN lol. Pet will get aggro for you as well.

I totally support this; it would be enough to let you press the "Accept" DF button even on a different class and swap you to the queueing class/job automatically. Probably have a system to register Gear Set with Job so that in the accept process the designated gear set is used to get you changed. Easy solution to a huge issue, imho.

A longer wait time by default would be a problem. I agree something should be done, perhaps a button to acknowledge and give yourself another 60 seconds to prepare if needed if you are in combat.

When they boost dungeon XP to be equivalent or better than Fate XP then people will be running dungeons more often instead of Fates. I prefer to do dungeons, I can't stand the Fate grind.

Dungeon XP isn't bad, I noticed I was getting 1000+ XP per mob that I killed in Haukke Manor, but would be nice if it was more practical than Fates.

Sorry but this is out of context. Even if Dungeons xp would be a lot higher than fate one, a person could still wish to do something while waiting for the DF call, instead of sitting there 30 minutes doing nothing.

More people running dungeons, less wait time.
But yes, I see you point since I didn't mention anything about doing other things while waiting.

I have done Fates while waiting for a DF dungeon but have not run into the issue where I could not accept the pop. Maybe I've just been lucky that I wasn't actively engaged with a mob when the DF pop came.

I don't craft yet, but I've heard complaints about it from people in my FC that while stuck in the crafting window they missed the DF pop.

I craft a lot, but usually have just enough time to end a craft and go, but I can see it being a problem when attempting high level recipes which need a lot of steps

Yeah, but then people will have to wait even longer when people AFK instead of 'accepting duty'. Ever have those people that wait the full 45 seconds and not accept? Imagine if it were 5 minutes.

I think it would be best to add a little bit more time to the wait: I've missed my queue a couple of times due to being in the bathroom or something and see it run out of time right before I can accept it. Maybe like 30 more seconds, but giving more than a minute and a half would be too much

If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die... I must simply laugh

How about you allow the commence button to be active regardless of what class you are on and let SE pop up a message saying "you are on x class, and this is for y class. Would you like to continue?" Then you press continue and your class switches and you join the DF dungeon.
