Issue with titan heart and melee dps

any other melee dps having an issue with this? and by issue i dont mean damage output, but the fact that even if im standing directly underneath titan my attacks still say target out of reach. i have to spam the ranged attack and that skill really sucks

Actually the hitbox is exactly same as Titan`s body, just keep hitting him the same way as the normal phases ^^

While this is true ppl in my LS have found standing on his leg with auto face gets the 100% damage up time without "faceing wrong way" error.

As the shortest Lalafell you can make, when titan stomps and his heart bounces up and down, I notice that I cannot get any hits in though I have no trouble attacking him both before and after the stomps. I am thinking it might be a height issue and when the heart bounces up, it goes out of range of my melee attacks on my MNK.

Actually the trick is NOT to stand as close as possible to the heart, and most certainly not "underneath" it, as you won't be able to hit it from there. There seems to be some minimum amount of distance that you have to keep in order to hit it. I usually stand like 1-2 steps away from Titan. Use Titan as a reference for hitting the heart from the side/rear.

i didnt mean i exclusively attack him from below. i move around and have trouble hitting him from anywhere. cant hit him EVEN from below. It ironically enough says im too far away.

best i done is 250 dps on on this fight with my monk it very easy you just have to play better.

You have to stand further from the heart than you are now. You'll be surprised at how far you can stand from the heart and hit it cleanly. Note that the flank and back positions on the heart are relative to who has aggro, not which direction the visuals on the model suggests.

The heart makes you think you gotta to be right on top of it to hit it but the hit box is actually the same as regular titan. There also seems to be a minimum distance so you definitely don't want to be on top of him.
