Xcept Bouillabaise Is a One Star meal and the materials needed to make it arent that expensive. Gear + Materia needed to make it can be quite expensive and I Guess thats what makes this so pricey. Oh and the damn Crystals.
OK, thats great. The price of those mats are still nothing compared to the mats required for 2star recipes, like I said.

Interesting, so unless I've missed the point a bit, I can literally HQ anything as long as I've got those stats and abilities? If so, then I've probably got the materia to comfortably get me up to that point. Cool. I'll try it out tomorrow.![]()
Only major thing I'd be worried about is Excellent condition popping up after the first Great Strides before Steady Hand. An extra 14 CP for an Observe (no important buffs active at that time) will prepare for that for the paranoid.
Technically the same could happen when you hit that initial Waste Not, but Poor condition on the very first Basic Touch should matter next to nothing. Good/excellent procs, having some extra control, or simply starting with at least one HQ mat would offset it. Even with none of those, it's a small fraction of a 1% chance of causing you issue if your stats were letting you just barely fill the quality bar with no good/excellent procs.
I've seen a lot of threads over how to HQ 2-star synths, and I have a question. I've been casually leveling all of my crafts in conjunction via 5-level intervals, currently in the middle of making the LVL. 40 push, so probably in the next couple of weeks or so I should been getting near 50. I have been making all of my own gear up to this point, (kind of a standard I set for myself), and I want to keep that standard going all the way to 50. So my question is:
What kind of Craftsmanship/Control will I be looking at to easily make 1-star equipment? If I keep my self max geared with current HQ gear will it be as easy as the current stuff I am HQ'ing? Or will the difficulty surge a bit?
I have been living off of CS/HT/ToT rotation up until now, which has server me well so far, only thing I really struggle on sometimes are 40 DUR synths.
I am finishing up the same leveling schedual with my crafting classes. I have started making 1 star hq items with relative ease using the level 50 HQ patriarch set that weaver can make. I melded it with a bunch of tier 1 materia I had in my bank and I'm not having any issues using a mix of NQ and HQ items I have gathered. The base stats needed by the crafts (ie 275 craftsmanship or 255 control) seem to be enough. I also use the hasty touch spam method at this point and plan to continue using it until my stats are high enough to use these more refined rotations.
Is careful synth II absolutely essential for this? Is there a way to modify this rotation to use basic synth in conjunction with steady hand? CSII is the only ability on this list that I'm missing. I'll get it eventually but powering weaver to 50 isn't at the front of my "to do" list at the moment.
Aphraell, how would you change your rotation for 40 durability recipes? Use Waste Not II or else?
