It gets better. Stone Vigil is just really out of whack in terms of the tuning as compared to other dungeons of similar level. I'm pretty sure that the trash in Aurum Vale doesn't hit nearly as hard as the trash in Stone Vigil.

I (WHM) parsed at AK 3 times last night with duty finder.
My DPS was 10% of total.
AK usually takes around 30 mins.
Let's say out of 30 mins, 20 mins for fighting and 10 mins for travelling, my DPS saves about 2 mins.

When fighting against 1 or 2 mobs, divine seal + regen is enough heal, so I get to keep nuking until the mobs go down.
When fighting against 3 or more, I don't bother nuking because I need to concentrate.

I think Linnie has a point too. A good example is WP SR. Fighting 1 group at a time with WHM DPSing is definitely slower than fighting like 5 groups at a time with WHM not DPSing. But this doesn't happen with duty finder. (People who wants to do that /shouts for the group because a specific setup is required.)

To OP, this subject is really a "love it, or hate it" subject. There will always be people who would "hate" this subject and flame you. Kind of how you responded to Linnie, who actually has a good point. (Sorry Linnie, for keep mentioning you.) So, don't feel unfortunate about how this thread turned to be. To me, I "love it". Not because I save 2 mins of the dungeon time, but to have fun nuking rather than just standing and doing nothing.

The problem with Linnie's post is even with 3+ groups of mobs at a time, I can still deal damage with Holy which has a stun effect. In fact, it's a much better scenario in favor of Holy spamming. So really, that's not an actual argument against me.

But yes I agree. I do all of this because it's fun for me. I know when to fully prioritize on healing and I know when I'm able to DPS, and I also feel that with the combined efforts of everyone in the party, we make a much better run.

Edit: If healers don't want to DPS, that's fine. I have never said nor will I ever say that you're bad because of that (and I'm still waiting for that quote from the people that I said I did). I made this thread for enlightenment and persuasion. I can only assume my attempts at humor has instead offended others.

Yes, I spam Holy too in WP SR. I just mentioned WP as an example of how fighting against a bunch of groups without WHM DPS is faster than fighting against a single group with WHM DPSing. Of course, fighting against a bunch of groups with WHM DPSing will be faster. But then people can say that we're not pulling enough mobs if WHM has time to Holy... But then that's all mobs that we can pull without passing the boss area... The counter example is endless.
