Lol i've only seen an Oceanic server once in my lifetime haha. Very rare.

On topic, the idea is a good one, but i feel there might be more to it than we think or it would have been done from the start imho.

The costs of hosting servers in the Australia/oceanic region are too high and there are not enough players to justify it.
Some games, like swtor, had oceanic servers but had to close them down due to lack of players.

Guys, what you are all failing to notice is that you can use proxys and VPNs to lower your ping, therefore part of the problem is the route your ISP chooses to get across the pond. If it was entirely because of the physical location of the servers proxys and VPNs would have very little effect, not the omg dis is much better effect we see.

And Yes I do live in the UK and I do play on a NA server, do I complain, nope.

Should have just kept all the servers in Japan, less segregation and less people complaining because they didn't get a server ploped next doors.

I TOTALLY SUPPORT THIS !
When the first time i logged in and created a char in a labelled (EU) SERVER , i really tought that the "EU" label were for the LOCATION , and then when i heard the truth i felt like FOOLED , like all new eu players here .... it's a FRAUD to not motion anywere at the begining that the eu servers weren't in EUROPA ....

Seriously , we pay a monthly fee ... don't tell us that u haven't money for it .
It's already a plea to see the lock out for BcoB -_- .....

Ping from me in the UK to Hyperion, using a fibre connection. And yes I do know not all places have fibre. (I have only had it a couple of weeks, got it as soon as it was available in my area)
