A Kid that Cries alot and wants this and that Generally doesn't get his way in that case its Discipline.

in FFXIV case, its You cant have Every idea in the game. Do you know how long that would take? Most people on here are impatient little kids the cry if a patch wasn't up to there expectations. Yes their will be disappointing times rest assured. But the new Dev is being taken places by Tanaka's Team which had Several Years in development, as to Yoshi-P's Team that bare even dented that much time.

He just got on the friggen ship, Can he at least Guide us to a Better future?

Implement? Everyone will be happy ( but of course people complain anyhow)

Things take time, Its easy for players to sit back and say, Hey I can do better than them! but in reality if your Behind SE chair's Programming Writing up a 30 page friggen code for a Video Game.. I say that pretty hard stuff.. and saying it's easy? hmm..

I agree with the sentiment, but I don't think it's a realistic goal for an American (predominantly) forum.

I think there is a cultural difference first of all.
Americans feel entitled. They also tend to play the victim a lot.

Square Enix is wronging us! We paid good money for this game (last year)! We deserve more!

I think we do deserve more communication, more answers, more reasons "why" and less vague ideas without deadlines. As far as actual game updates and content are concerned, though, we should all know by now that everything is on hold until the battle system so the wait should be obvious, lacking patches should be obvious.

It's as if people are oblivious to things they've clearly been told around here, and confuse those things with things that have been talked about vaguely. I mean, some people I know actually thought precursory Job Quests were about to implement today - and that isn't even something they mentioned in passing or vaguely about doing ("precursory" part, I mean). I don't quite understand why people expect more than they are told around here.

SE is a major company. I did enjoy many of the past Final Fantasies, with FFT and FF9 being up there with Silent Hill 2 as my favorites.

This game has let me down. Expressing my distaste is the only retribution I may have, because I surely won't be getting a refund from these people, or the store I bought the game from. If I would have expected this almost a year ago what's happening today, I would have asked my credit card company to refund my money. It's too late for that now.

Instead of being negative, we can cheer them up to keep the good work up with some BANANA BREAD!, and not act like stupid mothaf*ckas who complains about anything they do just for the sake of complaining, giving the impression of willing to kill this game.

Your opinion is important, but just saying you don't like something isn't as helpful as explaining what it is you don't like (specifically) and any thoughts you have on how to make it better.

We're all frustrated. We all need to vent sometime, somewhere. I think we can all agree that there is a constructive way to criticize something and a destructive way. I would estimate the majority in this forum (in particular) are destructive. Even when someone has a good idea people pick it apart, laugh at it, flame the person trying to help. You can simply say you don't agree list your reasons, and let SE decide which idea holds more water.

Though I'll warn you, disagreeing will end in more arguing, more flaming, more bickering. It's an endless cycle.

I think the game as it is now is worth the price we paid back then and i went for collectors edition.
Subscription is it worth it ?
I will make mind up after june .
Being honest i thought this update would have bit more in it , not a full load like what is comming in june but maybe a quest or two to pass the time however this is what it was so fair enough.
I also understand why they are not being clear on what is comming in each patch , its probley because they are doing serveral things at once and the progress of each task is taking different lenghts of time, this is what was ready so they could not say in advance whatelse would come out , being clearer in future will help but for now i understand why they are not.

Overall there is still fun to be had in game as it is now im only mid 20 ranks , some other players still not too far in as well so i say enjoy whats there atm.

I know. I think it's funny when people complain about how much they "spent" on XIV.

I also think it's funnier when they add the price of the computer they bought, like SE guided their hand and made them buy a PC when they could have (in theory) waited until March for the PS3 version.

I got my $80 worth and more, trust me. I played this game at least 100-200 hours more than I would any game I bought for $60. Whether or not it was as fun as one of the other games I could have bought is a (moot) argument, but I definitely got my money's worth.

As far as I'm concerned, they don't have to tell us what's coming in each patch or put a deadline stamp on everything in the Producer's letter, but it would be nice if they'd be up front about the status of Auction House (which I think is going to end in blowing us off, which I predicted in the first Producer's letter) and Jump (another blow off) and why no Chocobos. There has to be a reason.

"Oh 100% of players want Chocobos? Well, we can put them in but too bad we don't want to."

There has to be a reason they are waiting. Is it connected to Companies? Is it that they weren't intended to be mounts and thus there's no way to implement what doesn't exist and they can't work on it right now? Is it just content they're holding on to for PS3 release to lure back old customers and generate some hype? Could the reason possibly be more irritating than simply not implementing them that they don't dare tell us?

I don't need to know when exactly things are happening, but some back and forth about why they can't happen NOW is something I feel we are entitled to - as players and/or beta testers (depending on your point of view).
