In all seriousness though, congrats to Blue Garter. I didn't understand half - no, nothing at all - about what was going on in that fight, but from what I could tell, you guys were happy about it. And you've thus far handled this with far higher grace than a certain-other-guild-in-a-game-that-shall-not-be-named (*coughensidiacough*) ever could. So my final words are....

I'd say they're 100% sure if they can rely on that strategy. It's probably the fact that the twisters are strongly dependent on strict timing and movement that's probably catching them most of the time.

I'm still picking up tiny pieces of my shattered speakers from the floor but it was worth it because the cheers at the end made you sense the effort put into it and the relief/triumph of finally winning.

So to negate Twister, you spread out and run in a circle as it casts... I have to say, that's such a bs mechanic. I'm all for fights that take some thinking to overcome, but this one feels like such a stretch.

That's not what you do. You don't "negate" it, it works the same way as Titan's plumes. Everyone spreads out so no one is stacked, and (seemingly) wait til the cast bar is at a certain % to account for the .3 delay, then run. That's probably why it's a timing thing and can be replicated with practice. I assume most people tried running at the start of the cast which is what caused a lot of problems along with ping issues.

Didn't you watch the kill video? Running a circle is exactly what they're doing, and it leaves behind a miniature tornado, which takes the place of the big one that would otherwise kill them. The only reason they're spreading out is so that people who fail to do it properly don't wipe out their party members.
