At this point the tank 'luld' and left. The party fell apart.

Yes as a WHM you should never be expected to heal as it is not your job although if a healer did decide to heal during a fate they would notice you can get gold that way. Kudos though on being able to play a WHM proper!

In a FATE, you get the credit of your whole party. If it's a boss mob, I've found that as long as I just tag the mob once with an aero or something, I can go on to spam heals like crazy and will get a gold without doing very much DD at all since I'm keeping the DDs in my group alive and sharing a good bit of the credit with them.

Yeah, even if doing burn method, if the bees are going to be up for any bit of time before walls go down the tank should grab them. Heals don't heal while being interrupted/3-shot by 2 bees. XP Those bees hit pretty hard if you're a clothie. o_o

I specifically tested this one out. The result? Undetermined. I hit the boss with Aero ONCE, then Cured for the rest of the fight. The dot wore off, it didnt die beforehand. I got silver, bronze and gold. I stick by the assumption - read calculated guess - that it has more to do with threat than it does tagging.

I have also hit the boss with Aero once, then spammed Medica until i was out of mana. I have gotten all 3 ranks, so the results dont really say anything really as they are quite frankly all over the place.

What i HAVE confirmed is that doing damage for the entire Fate, guarantees gold. As long as you can get through 6-8 Stone's, then your gold.

Another ak story

on one of my first attempts at it, im struggling to hold agro on the mobs against the superior geared dps but im doing my best when one of the dps decides to pull for me making my life twice as hard. So i asked politely if they could not do that and the following events took place.

Got told my gear sucks and that i suck, told that i wasnt needed and so i sat back and watched as Dps 2 ran in and attempted to tank, dps1 and healer try and help him but its a wipe. I ask if we can do this properly now and get insulted for about 5 minutes while the healer argues with them telling them how shitty it is to act like they were to someone who was clearly newly level 50, i continued pointing out i made a simple request to ensure that we could actually complete the dungeon but was simply faced with a wall of insults until they left and the healer apologized for their behavior and we went left.

I don't really understand this either. I've been going as bard sometimes of late, and most of my tanks, on the first and second boss in AK, refuse to tank the adds, and expect the DD's to tank every one of them. I tank the dungeon all the time, and have no issues picking up the adds on either of these bosses. I feel like it puts more strain on the healers to make the DD's tank them, anyways. =/

Why don't you level WHM in FATEs and only heal then if it's so easy. The difference, leveling/getting exp wise, is like night and day. When I DD as a WHM, I get gold medals everytime...not so much when I'm healing. I'm lucky to get a silver

It's very easy to toss an aero on every mob and also heal in between. I got golds tons of times in FATEs leveling with just me and a DRG when there were 2-3 parties of 8 in the same FATE as us. Tab target aero + heals is all I ever did. XP
Well until later when I got the awesomeness that is HOLY! =D But even then I still healed a lot. It didn't really effect my xp negatively, if anything it seemed to up it, ESPECIALLY when I healed NPCs. That seemed to always net me gold every time.

When you go into dungeons and there is no sign that says "One or more members in the party are new." crap....

So... This happened A LOT in CM lately.... So for example... First boss right.... You can pretty much tell who the MT is if they don't say anything. They'll just go and do their duty. Now when the adds came the OT well... didnt OT.

So the MT had to basically get out and OT but by the time she steps out, me and my bf died. We're both healers. Kinda annoyed and ask what the hell is going on and why wasnt [insert OT's name here] doing the job. His response????

"Oh I wasn't informed. I'm new."

Yeah freaking right....
