I think they gave bard the healer LB because they have plans in making bard a healer class with more songs when second jobs are Introduced.

So maybe they will give current bard users The Ranger Job(DPS) , then converting bard into a full support healer.

It's inconsistent with an Archer to become a healer, it makes no sense.

We should have our own damn LB

A support LB, get's everyone's MP, TP up to 100% and refreshes them for one minute at full potential.

While I would LOVE to have Ranger subbed in for Bard, I don't think this will happen due to difficulty of implementation. IF/WHEN we see Ranger, it will be a secondary Job for Archer or something else entirely.

Personally, I feel Bard would be just fine if the songs were utilized more frequently. The 20% damage reduction would level us out vs other DPS when using Army's Paeon and Mage's Ballad, but they're simply not used often enough. While I don't want to see Bard revert to 1.0 song style (AoE party buff with timer) I do feel the songs need to be changed to actually be useful in all situations.

Say, swap Army's Paeon for an HP regen song, nothing super strong, but worth while. And then change Foe Requiem to be a damage increase for ALL party members (save the Bard himself, or maybe balance the increase in damage with a reduction for the Bard like the other two already have) rather than just an elemental resistance drop.

The best nerf would be to add a 1 second 'Aim' to the majority of their moves.

Sure, let's add it only to Blunt Arrow and see how other jobs feel about it in Coil.

If anything, simply adjust the DPS down a little and buff up the other DPS to let all the flavor of the month DPS only Bards get pissed and drop the job so the real utility Bards stay.

I have no issues with Bard's LB as it makes sense and I use it when its needed.

You haven't been reading the forum enough... People are going to complain about the changes, then SE will make the changes and then people will complain even more about the changes... When someone defends the changes they will be ganged up on and told that they are white knights or troll's...

How about they make brd's necesary for support. Isn't FOE like the only ability that boost groups DPS? Man, in ffxi brd had like a kagillian songs, they could sleep mobs, remove debuffs, boost movement speed, etc etc etc etc. When I think of a brd, I think of a character with some sort of instrument that just strums songs, and any dmg they do is a plus.

Archer should upgrade to ranger, ranger should do crazy bow dps with a dmg LB. Bard should be kicka** support and a must have for a group.

How's about this as a trade. All of you stop complaining on forums, log into the game and play the game how they made it. No excuses for "well I'm paying for it so it should be how I want it". With all of your complaints, everything will get changed. Then those who weren't complaining at all get screwed, then the next group gets screwed. There are so many people running endgame content and more and more running the coil with out any issues about bards or other classes and are completing the content. Their system works, deal with it already before all of the complainers ruin the game for changes they want and this game goes under faster than 1.0. If you donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to SE for this game then I can see you having a need for such complaining about the game. None of you have done that. Quit QQing and either play the game how they made it, or please go find another game before you ruin it for everyone else.
