I... I can't even parse that sentence. Do you mean the PLD can raise once in combat, but if the PLD dies it's game over? Or the PLD to raise once he/she is dead, and screw the rest?
Either way, I've been in many situations where tanks have died but healers are good enough to get a fast quick-cast-raise off and get everything back under control just fine. I don't see why it should be limited beyond cooldowns.
What fights are you doing where if your healers are dead the PLD has a free 8 seconds to cast Raise without getting interrupted or just flat out killed?

giving the ability to pld also makes it nice come back ^^
Hallowed Ground + Raise would be a viable option for an emergency healer raise. I can see that getting wasted alot, and healer would likely take the raise instantly and get brought into cleave range. Proper way would be HG + Raise, once cast is finished move the boss away from where the healer will be spawning at.
I'm very undecided if I would want to see this change, but as it sits right now CNJ cross-class abilities need a major overhaul as a whole.
this is where the potions will come in handy just an idea :P This way it will increase economy boost
Raise should be a low level cross skill for ALL classes and jobs that gives XP when used equiv to two trash mob kills of your level.
- That would go a LONG way towards boosting community in the game.
Having seen the impact it has in GW2, I'm convinced this is one of the few ways you can get NA players to suddenly get very nice and friendly towards each other... and don't care if its a 'genre stretch' - its good community sense.

And depending on the content, the tank would have died irregardless with being a healer down. Not sure how using Hallowed Ground in an attempt to recover an encounter is a waste though.... Do you recommend the PLD just die with Hallowed Ground still available? I don't know about you, but I'm all for using any tricks and tools at my disposal as necessary. I absolutely hate wiping without first attempting to use any and all available options.
I guess I could just take your advice though, and not use my CDs when the situation warrants their usage. Such a better approach, not sure why I didn't think of it myself.
the PLD JOB is to tank.. thats its role in a party to tank tank tank
you want raise? change to class GLA.
thats the whole point of the JOB/CLASS system.
