This response does convince me 100% that the mechanic is not buggy, but it DOES NOT convince me 100% that the mechanic is not heavily effected by this issue by being one of the tighter examples of 'move'. However, with SEs response here having cleared up the possibility of 'buggyness' there is a next step. There's been a lot of words passed around about people ignoring people on ideas or people says 'play better' or crying wolf etc. But the fact of the matter is, it's just difficult to address every individual. Instead:

Today I'll be making a thread for Twisters 'ideas' which will SPECIFICALLY need a video showing the idea failed in order to put an X on 'nope doesn't work'. This will also allow us to compare videos where 'no it didn't work' and 'yes it did work the next time' so that more people see why a lot of people on this phase right now are so confused about the inconsistency, and find small differences.

I actually suggested this a while back in the thread. The best way to figure out how to avoid Twisters is simply to see if there is, indeed, a pattern. And to do that people will need to show that part of the fight, preferably from a good angle so that we can see where the twisters are with respect to the boss, the other players, and even the arena itself, I guess. If any of those solutions pan out, then we'll know where the dead-zones are in the arena (as in, where no Twister will ever appear).

To address this one quickly, the reason a lot of 'where are the dead zones' didn't receive a lot of word is because after trying a large portion of different arrangements, stackings, flanks, spreads etc, it just always targeted the same number of people period. Regardless of whether or not I think the mechanic is laggy, I feel a lot more confident saying I don't believe it's a zone, but something else that decides whether or not the people that DID get picked just explode. If it were a zone, if everyone was in the zone, presumably all 8 would blow up, and if everyone was out, no one would blow up.

Just some initial remarks on that, but when we start posting videos we can still address this thought, not really going to just 'assume' anything at this point but I think what I mean will be clear.

I'll go into more detail, as that reddit video doesn't show this too clearly (since no one survived), but here is what it boils down to/why a lot of groups thing it's a lag thing.

    1) She casts Twister, has a channel bar.
    2) People do some form of 'run out'.
    3) Twister channel ends. Green tornadoes appear on the ground. Sometimes, these appear right under you as the cast ends, and you blow up (no damage, you just die). Sometimes, these appear behind you ALONG YOUR RUN PATH (hence the 'oh the server thought I was here the entire time' lag issue, etc).
    4) There is always the same total of tornadoes, regardless of where we all started.

The general 'strat' right now and the reason people feel it might be lag is because you will have one pull where you use a pretty simple 'fan out as she casts', and all the people targeted will all survive it say, 2-3 times in a row. Then the next cast you do the same thing, and some people get exploded (1-4, not always all).
