I feel strongly that I know my shit and I'm a pretty kick-ass DRG. I called him out on his shit attitude, told him he was the one ruining this game for others by being such an asshole and that the only reason I was still finishing the run was because I felt badly that the other two players would be stuck with him if I left.
They sided with me and called him an ass too. Didn't shut him up though unfortunately.
We finished the boss (after more harassment from this loser) then I told him I hope he grows some real balls and quits the game to relieve everyone else from having to deal with his BS, the other two members cheered me on and we all left before he could say anything.

Funny how the anonymity of the internet can make someone who has a tiny dick into a HUGE one themselves.

If someone is shouting for a speed run, then they should be asking for people who are well geared.

Otherwise, shouldn't be wasting time forming a party that can do just the same as a duty finder party.

If you join a duty finder dungeon for the first time, then you should have the luxury of watching the cut scene at your leisure.

Even though you can still watch the same cut scene back at your inn. Without the expense of other people's time if you are a slow reader.

If you have experienced weeks of fighting Titan Hard on duty finder and watching people unable to avoid AoE, then you shouldn't be called an "elistist" for wanting to form a party of people who can accomplish the fight without issue.

Being over geared for Titan Hard fight is to mitigate the risk of losing a member or two during the fight.

If you have ever been stuck on Amdapor Keep's Demon Wall to the point where your entire 4 man team is at the end of the catwalk, then you know your group DPS is too low and under geared.

I don't wear this normally while doing runs silly =P Until vanity slots come into play I like running around in this outside of battles.

That is something many people who try to convince people to skip cutscenes say. Not all cutscenes are available to rewatch. Sometimes only the first in a series, or a snippet.

But this is false.

They are there, actually, you just need to select "duty" from the dropdown menu. Still, watching them at the inn breaks the immersion, you only feel the immersion when you watch them during the dungeon itself, it just doesn't feel the same inside the inn.

You sir are my frickin hero! I look at it like this we are all paying for the game. I don,t pay to here some asshole throw a temper tantrum about a video game, because if there biggest concern is that then real life is gonna bitch slap the hell outta them.

To do it right, you have to click through the entire cut scene to view it back at your inn. So, for slow readers in the group of people reading might be considerate to just click faster.
Though, personally sometimes I just click faster and read it back in the chat logs.

Yeah, because every other MMO followed WoW's more casual mode approach, and when the players groomed by this approach hit FFXIV end game (arguably not the hardest), they cried out not because of the content itself, but because they couldn't easily do it like they could in every other MMO; Of course people that could do it were going to come out and say it was doable, and instead of reasonable discussion, BOTH sides started slinging mud. Obviously an incredibly generalized and blanket statement, but I digress; There are douchebags and unreasonable players in BOTH groups.

Also, it has gotten to 'that point' in the game where a portion of players are geared to the teeth in full DL and Relic+1, and as such want to run with other people in the same set up so it is more efficient; hell, you still have to do it 8 times(?) per week to cap mytho, and some players have done it for 4+ weeks already now. Whether it is fair for players to push these 'requirements' onto other players is a completely different matter, however as they are forming the group, it is their prerogative (If this was DF this clearly doesn't apply, but if people are using DF they really shouldn't be complaining about gear status anyway). Also, for the record, it was still more efficient (pre-patch at least) to spam CM speed runs for Philo stones to get DL, so 'advising' players to do that first isn't necessarily a bad/elitist thing.

Where overgearing content is required, because if everyone cant instanty win without effort its bad game design. We are currently living "me!me!me!now!now!now!" age and this can be seen in every aspect in life not just in gaming, so long are gone the days in gaming where you had to earn your progress by skill and dedication.
