    A PLD with equal gear in Sword Oath will do nearly the same DPS. It will be slightly lower, maybe 205 instead of 215 as Warrior does have higher potency attacks in general, but the gap between the two is not as big as you'd think. It's just you never hear or see anyone bothering to do it because PLD's fulfill their designated role as tank just fine, while some WARs are trying to find alternative ways to be useful to the team.

    The only Turn I feel stressed in is Turn 1 at the beginning when I'm getting slammed by the omg-Caddie's-gonna-kill-me X.x

    Once he's split it's a relief.

    Two (lolthree) and four are really optimal for WAR I feel, I enjoy turn 4 as WAR very much. ^^

    WAR doesn't do more than PLD when going for DPS. MRD does more than (similarly-equipped) WAR due to cross-class abilities. We will inevitably see a MRD DPS job, just as all classes will have two jobs. Hopefully, WAR will be buffed by then, so we don't have everyone telling WAR to reroll BZK or VIK...

    Having both PLD and WAR I see no point in running in Coil as a WAR there is no benefit. I don't believe the hype that WARs can't do it, I just fail to see the merit in doing so. You can't block/parry ADS so in Turn 2 the tanks are pretty equal assuming the rest of your group comp can handle their parts. Turn 4 WARs bring Overpower for some AoE threat, but maintaining aggro isn't really and issue it's picking everything up and OP has a pretty long animation making it some what useless in that respect. I really like having CoS in that situation for the instant animation. You could post 100 videos of WARs clearing it, but it always looks more rough and sloppy than with 2 PLDs.

    EDIT: Also should try bringing a Scholar in your groups, great for healing a Warrior, Lustrates heal a % and are used far more often than Bene, they also add some mitigation to the WAR since they lack it.

    Yeah we've been trying to bring a SCH into the group, in fact one of the bards mains a SCH but the leader wanted the bard for turn 2 since my class lacks utility for it.

    Even with double PLD we still bring two bards for silence, PLD silence has a super long induction, and with repelling and ballast sometimes we aren't in range in time. Another huge up shot of bringing 2 PLDs, if shit starts to go nuts in the last few % of ADS, which it usually does, double PLDs can give you 20s of zero tank healing if one uses Hallowed Ground, then after 10s the other PLD vokes and HGs too. In turn 4 I can't see a WAR tanking double dread, and if they fix the mob turning so you can't run circles around the adds to avoid damage I don't see a WAR doing that either. Hell even to attempt that strat you need the mana for Flash spam and WARs don't have it. WARs need something I don't know if it's a buff or just a change to a specific mechanic, but they just don't bring anything of substance to a group. 10% slash damage, so I guess if they add Samurai and Ninja WARs can buff for them, unless they end up getting their own slash debuff lol.

    Oh I agree that tanking double dreadnoughts isn't happening for a warrior it was outrageous with just one on me. The only reason pallies can even do that is because of the over abundance of defensive CDs they have.

    Turn 2 ADS's Chain Lightning can OHKO me from nearly full health if it crits. My squishyness as WAR tank in Coil is beyond ridiculous, Caduceus is doable but the amount of rage I feel when I get instantly killed by CL. You must have the most amazing healers on Earth to find Turn 2 ADS "easy" to tank as WAR.

    Our group doesn't deal with chain lightening. We take allagan rot, gravity field and ballast. As the gravity field is way easier to deal with than lightening.
