Even if it's possible to accept a teleport a party member did while on chocobo, the person who initially teleported would not have been able to do so. That means at least one person would not have been on a chocobo. Doesn't sound like that's the case here. Additionally, they would have spawned next to the crystal like OP says, and apparently they did not. These are either botters or OP was experiencing some major lag. It's definitely not a teleport. Use some deductive reasoning here. Sheesh.

edit: This post just reminded me of something stupid I saw yesterday which is probably at least sort of related to the OP and bots. I saw what appeared to be a bot fountain. Was catching up on miner quests when I noticed the sound of feet shuffling while talking to an npc. I look over his shoulder and see several identical hyur male gladiators with Fhgwgads type names falling out of the wall behind the blind the npc is leaning on. They'd vanish after maybe 5 seconds or so but there's so many cycling through there'd still be a pile of about 4-6 of them at a time. I have no idea what they're doing, I would guess they're teleporting around doing quests to level to whatever point you have to be to start being a menace to online society. They were also appearing and quickly disappearing near Wymond as well.

Actually this guy is telling the truth, watched people do it on Lamia from my boyfriend's computer. All from the same FC who were teleporting DIRECTLY to the fates while mounted..not to a town, to the fate that had just spawned. There were 4 of them all mounted and on auto-follow. Was interesting to watch...lol

I'm sure they are working their way up to this on Diabolos. I have not leveled any lower level classes out in the fields lately to check, however I was on one of my alts a few days ago and noticed a disturbing scene. Tons of RMT teleporting around from quest NPC to quest NPC in Ul'Dah.

You could tell they were RMT due to the names like Sasdfss Dffssafd and the blatant fact they were TELEPORTING around. This is apparently one of the ways they gather their gil to sell to other players, mass zerging the starting zone quests repeatedly. Here's hoping tonight's maintenance also does something about this blatant abuse of the game.

The hacks that are out are pretty crazy for this game atm, but they hacks are so obvious that I wouldn't be surprised if SE mass banned them soon. Also, there are bots teleporting between gathering spots, there are probably teleport bots out for fates too.
