If I see one more petition thread, especially one for a beaten-to-death topic, I"m going to scream.

1) no petition in the history of the internet has ever really mattered, making it a pointless effort.

2) taking what could be ordinary discussion and slapping the word 'petition' in front of it doesn't have any effect on the discussion (other than me making a comment like this) nor does it increase the likes you receive.

If the devs want to hold the AF designs as sacred/iconic, I don't agree but there's a solid following behind it so fine go with that. But give us the rest of the gear at least. Nothing iconic/lore friendly about a Paladin running around in a pitch-black armor set (Example: Darklight) or a Black Mage running around in a set of white robes just because the said robes were white by default (Example: it will come up if the dye restrictions stay as strict as they are currently).

Well, that is the last set to earn so Darklight comes first. But more importantly the concept of dyeing AF gear is rather controversial as opposed to a pretty solid majority that wants the Darklight/Other non-AF gear dyeable.

AF 2 looks mostly hideous imo. Not to mention they clash so badly with any combination of DL or Tox. If I could entirely skip most pieces of AF for alternate gear I would. Not to mention my Relic looks like a 90's Gundam buid it kit attached to my back. Bah why can't I keep Garuda's Spine forver

Although I do feel bad for starting the petition: movement.

But really the tag Petition: isn't anything bad if anything people at least know what they are walking into. It's better than just having a title that scream I WANT SOMETHING! the fact they are starting a petition means they are interested in getting support and a active discussion about the topic at hand going.

If only.. certain items like the artefact gear being locked out of dying I can understand but it really should only be the really special stuff. The unique things most people won't be wearing for a significant chunk of their playtime following normal progression.
