    Improve HQ Results

Currently when you HQ an item, only the base stats of the item are improved, such as defence, evasion etc. This makes a lot of HQ items have barely any benefit over NQ. These items include all jewellery and all DoH and DoL equipment (except tools).

As a goldsmith I feel we're being hurt by this since jewellery is our speciality and all the stats a player wants from their jewellery (such as STR, accuracy etc.) are not improved with an HQ result. You aren't going to care what the defence stat is on a ring when you're buying it for the accuracy or STR.

Basically stars should be applied to all stats on an item, including those at the bottom.

Well even if stars we're applied to your rings, you'd still need HQ2-3 in order to see bonus stats due to rounding. Also, goldsmith has several weapon synths they can HQ. But I do agree that HQs need to have a bigger bonus, but I doubt we'll see that until they overhaul the battle system and stats/attributes.

Fair point, but they could make a star add a minimum of one attribute, so HQ tier 2 gem rings become +8, 9 and 10 attributes. It sounds like a big jump but in reality no one is going to +3 any and +2s aren't common. An HQ3 tier 1 ring becomes 8 but I don't think it matters that it would be better than NQ tier 2 as these rings are extremely rare too.

Slot cost is worth mentioning too however, but it's already broke when you think about it. 4 silver rings is more accuracy than 3 electrum rings for example. They should just do away with slot cost and allow you to equip X number of jewellery items, perhaps cap it at 5 as FFXI allowed you to equip 5.

I have to agree with this, I do not like the slot cost limitation, it restricts the ability to really showcase your items. Black Pearl earrings? no one will wear them because they need the slot cost for accuracy rings or MP bracelets. Raise it very high preferably get rid of it.

Just add a quest that gives you more slots or takes away the restriction.
