Indeed, is funny cause is true!I had a good chuckle. There is literally nothing in this game class or quest that is too hard to do on a PS3 controller. Tanking, healing, dps, instances, primals, everything can be done on a controller at least as good as on a keyboard and mouse. Except chatting lol, that takes a little extra effort.
I was at an utter loss when my 3rd party controller broke a few days ago and I had to finish the rest of a CM run with mouse/keyboard. We made it through okay, but I was definitely less effective. Then a friend sent me drivers that let me use my PS3 controller that didn't involve motion in joy (long story, I don't like MIJ), I was so happy to be back on a controller again.
I've never felt like I was too slow getting a heal to someone. In most cases, the tank should be the primary one that needs most of the healing. Accidents happen, of course, but all I do is keep the hard lock on one of the tanks, and arrange my party member list so that both tanks are right next to eachother, and subtarget others for heals (it automatically snaps back to the hard lock'd party member after every subtarget cast). I've never felt too slow targeting a party member for heals.
(Personally, graphics, loading time, and 720p's crowded UI size are all differences between PC and PS3, but neither of those really affect gameplay except whiney impatient speedrunners)

I play on pc, but use wireless xbox controller.
I dodge everything, whilst my keyboard/mouse counterparts do not.
Have no problem running my skill chains either as positioning is far easier on controller.
sorry but this game plays for controllers.
also: ps3 is no different, esp with an ssd.

I don't hate players who play on PS3 but I hate the hardware itself. The PS3 is the reason why many things in FFXIV has been limited. The game could be better without the PS3 version.
And the PS3 players are supporting the PS3 version. that might be the reason why people hate PS3 players.
i play on ps3 with a group of rl friends who all play on PC, i have yet to have a single complaint about my gameplay that can be attributed to the platform i use. in DF groups i have never even had someone ask me what system i am on
it is 100% the player and not the system. the game really does feel like its been optimized for controller use. the first few days the game was out i tinkered around with using a keyboard/mouse(ps3's can do that derp) but still preferred my gamepad because pointing and clicking seemed way outdated and abysmally non-proficient in ffxiv's fast paced combat. sorry but the PC elitists need to find a new tree to bark up, because as time moves on im afraid it will turn out that PC gamers are at the disadvantage, especially once ps4 comes out.
the only thing PC'ers have right now is the edge when comes to overall MMO experience. good mmo's are few and far between for consoles and for many ps3 players this is their first MMO
Wait till pvp comes out then youll regret not playing on PC or using a Keyboard/MouseStop. It is stupidly ignorant.
I play on PS3. I never get hit by ANYTHING in Titan, I silence High Voltage every time, Am on my 4th relic, Rarely ever lag, and do FATEs perfectly fine.
Its a stupid elitist issue, PC players obviously havent played on ps3 so they dont know what they are talking about when they say the problem is always ps3 players.
Literally the ONLY difference is graphics and that has very little affect on gameplay.
If you don't like the graphics on PS3, get a PS4. But every titan fight I see PC players get hit by Plumes and Landslide, etc Way more Then I do as a PS3 Player.
I'd believe this line if DCUO didn't exist on the PS3 (yes, I played it, even got to level 30 which is still max level I believe). It's even more twitchy than XIV and that's saying something. The whole point of DCUO's endgame is PvP, with the whole of the powersets balanced for it over the game's PvE elements. XIV on PS3 will be every bit as able in PvP, I have no doubt. Oh, before anyone asks, no, I never did take part in DCUO's PvP. I hate PvP in MMOs, why would I want to subject myself to something I hate?
Could you possibly post some sources of what was limited by the PS3?I don't hate players who play on PS3 but I hate the hardware itself. The PS3 is the reason why many things in FFXIV has been limited. The game could be better without the PS3 version.
And the PS3 players are supporting the PS3 version. that might be the reason why people hate PS3 players.
If not Sources or it didn't happen.
The skillcap is not high enough in this game to make PS3 users not able to compete. It is by design made so both platforms can perform well and besides who cares why someone is bad and especially before you have even tried the fight? You can't know until you see them play regardless of what platform they play on.
