on my server, a guy got 20 mill in less than two weeks from selling the weapons needed for relic made by blacksmith, he was one of the lucky ones which didnt get suspended though. I myself got 1m in less than a week selling sanguine scepters, though goldsmith was sadly not the most attractive craft at that time :P

Those prices were unsustainable because we only had a few days to sell that high before other people undercut us. Everything about the way we sold our items adhered to the natural progression that anyone with common sense could have predicted, hence why we decided to be server-first crafters and gatherers in the first place. And like I said, I collaborated with other players to come up with the prices for my goods, personally, and they surely didn't feel robbed about it... but I can see this going on for several posts. I tried to explain the point at hand, and you're turning it into a debate to win. I yield.

I don't want to win anything, I just want to stop seeing crafter's being butthurt that they lost all their Gil. There's still a very high probability that a significant amount of Gil you earned was illegitimate, that was the only point I was trying to get across. If you are not butthurt and I applaud you if that is the case, then good for you, now you can get on with your FFXIV life and start earning some more Gil.

The white knight are NEVER going to be sympathetic to your case. They will ALWAYS find some angle to rob you of any satisfaction.

There isn't a court of law. There isn't even a court of reason. You're telling a forum that would relish the sight of you drawn and quartered just for thinking SE could ever possibly do something incorrectly.

But in the end, you have a choice. Suck it up and remake your millions or wait until Skyrim Online comes out and try your luck there.

I honestly think you should just give up on this game. There is no way you will get that money back given current market prices and who knows what SE will do next? Its a shame.

Stop using the stolen car analogy, in RL you can do at least some investigation to determine if the car is stolen. GL calling SE before each transaction is made and trying to get them to confirm if the Gil is legitimate, they would probably tell you to fuck off. If SE does not give avenues of investigation to players to determine if the Gil is legitimate then the responsibility should be solely on them.

I think it is fine for hardcore players who wants to be the first at everything to be hardcore-ly screwed by SE. It parts of their entitled hardcore player they are so craving.
The only option you got here is just to get a hardcore comeback from your situation, or hardcore rage quit.

The problem is in RL if you are a merchant, hell even a consumer, you have ways to verify your "money" is valid and not counterfeit. There are generally errors on it and also we use bank debits cards and there are devices to detect fake money etc etc.

In game though there is NO WAY TO VERIFY if the purchaser is using fake/stolen etc money its a complete russian roulette game. It is therefore up to SE themselves to give us a way to make sure gil used in such transaction in the AH is "good" especially if they will hold us responsible and take the money we earn away at a later date.

I mean there's still rmt spamming and therefore I am sure still people buying gil so what is the point of trying make money other than by quests/levee if at some later date it will be taken from us?

You don't even need a boat load of gold in this game to do anything then again your cherished e-peen might have been cut down to a centimeter.
