I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.
Dear Devs, are you standing by this action, or is there further action planned for individuals who had no RMT interaction?

It's been over a week now. When will we get a response?
Posted just today. I'll C&P it here for your convenience.
Link To Source.Hello,
We have a firm understanding of the current RMT (real money traders)/cheating situation, and while we are working to implement countermeasures, it is true that we are sometimes reacting one step behind. While we cannot announce specifics of what we have planned, I do want to let you know that the development team and the Special Task Force (STF) are working closely together to implement measures to catch cheaters. We were able to catch some large scale RMT groups due to this.
Also, because it's the RMT and cheaters who strike first, the operations team can usually be thought of as reacting one step behind. However, as players have been saying, we agree that we should be finding and patching these holes from the start.
However, we will always be investigating, tracking down cheaters, and punishing them.
While we do not respond to your RMT reports, all of the information we receive is reviewed by the development team and STF and everyone on the team is extremely appreciative of your efforts. We apologize for the frustrations and inconveniences caused by the RMT and cheaters, and we will be working hard to catch them.
We appreciate your information about RMT you encounter on the forum, but please make sure not to include the URLs and specific cheating methods in your post. We ask that you please incude them in your reports instead.

Thank you for the quote. There's a lot of information about RMT there, yet they're still dancing around the issue that some of us want to hear about... I wonder if anyone has made further progress going through customer support.
Quoted from another thread:
This is looking like their final stance on the matter.I just got off the phone with Jordan at NA support. She confirmed that while accounts were only suspended based on suspicious activity, *all* suspicious accounts were reduced by factors of 100. She could not comment on why some accounts had only one retainer reduced, or wallets reduced but retainers untouched.
She did confirm that regardless of guilt, no new investigations will be opened, previous support reps have been either misinformed or lying when they told me a new investigation had been opened, and even if players are found innocent of wrongdoing gil will not be returned.
I don't care who you are or how you feel about all this, but telling your customers that after being wrongfully treated they will not be receiving recompense or even having the problem fixed is atrocious. My innocence doesn't even matter anymore (although I still 100% maintain it as it's the truth), since SE has now told me that innocence does not matter.
I was told repeatedly at the beginning of this game that if I wanted to make a fortune, that was a valid style of gameplay.
SE has successfully taken one of my favorite hobbies, Final Fantasy, and forever poisoned it by taking my month of dedication to their newest game and throwing it out the window. I don't care if it 'had to be done' - their refusal to fix the few people who got innocently caught up in what was likely a very effective sting is a deep, vile insult.
I know why SE did this and if I was the producer of the game I would have done the same. (My thought process as a game producer)
Point 1) Understaffed - The producer of FF14 completely underestimated the sales for FF14 ARR and thus was understaffed in every department that has to deal with customers.
Point 2) If I'm understaffed I don't have the proper resources to launch a wide scale investigation (economy inflation is impacting a large portion of my player base)
Point 3) If I can't do a proper investigation... what is the best option available to remove all tainted Gil from the game?
Point 4) Suspend 600ish players AKA less than .1% of my player base to make the 99.9% happy (at the risk of upsetting the .1% AKA the most vocal)
So now on the forums we're witnessing the .1% QQ as if a large portion of the player base was effected... on average only 5 accounts were touched per server...
Whatever you posted about the conversation with CS needs to make it to the Japanese forums.
There you will find your answers
Yeah, you know they've seen this thread. I'm pretty sure a post has been modded out of it already. Do people really want to play an MMO where the option for personal, individual assistance doesn't even exist? I don't care about the actions they took, I care about the fact that there is seemingly nothing left after that.I think everyone would like to see it in text - I'm sick of having to be the advocate and conduit here. Somebody else corroborated somewhere in the thread, but at the end of the day I don't think it's good enough for NA support to be changing their story every three days.
SE should be advocating for innocent players, we shouldn't have to do this ourselves. Refusing to reinvestigate, claiming that accidental punishments won't be reversed, or suggesting that having 'too much gil' is in and of itself punishable are all extremely offensive assertions and need to be backed up with official, written confirmation if true.
