They should also add the option of toggling visible summons, if they go with larger sizes. I'm sure that would solve everyone's wishes. ^^
Oh, and make Ifrit-Egi less bad somehow. <3 All I hear are bad things about him.

Only suggestion I have for SMN is to move where the book sits when we're not engaged. Currently it rests on our character's hip and sadly our character's arm blocks the view of it. I'd like to request the book be placed on our back instead![]()

That's so cool :Ohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QAZFey6m24 <------ FFXI Summons
But anyways, I'm ok with current size, I just think egi forms are too weird. I know is less power but yet, dont need to be less pretty.

Yes, I realize egi have a fraction of primal's strength and since they're out all the time, having full size summons would be a disaster in, say, FATEs but they're very ugly.
I miss XI summons so much.

This is very disappointing to me. Like many of the other posts in this thread, I have to agree that the current "Summoner", if you can even call it that, doesn't feel like summoner at all. The main damage should not come from dots and I think the job should be a lot more primal oriented like traditional ff games. You gave the job the name summoner and clothed it in the legendary summoner attire but forgot to add the summons we all know and love.We discussed your feedback about the design of the egi with the development team. As was mentioned previously during the Beta test, the design planner reiterated that egi were designed to be a manifestation of a percentage of power taken from the primals and are intentionally designed to appear differently from the primal. As such, we aren't planning on changing the look of egi at higher levels.
We will however continue to take in your feedback when creating new egi that will be added in the future.
The game itself makes a mention of the primal's size in regards to their relative strength in a story cutscene, so player-sized primals would still fit with the "fraction of the primal's power" theme
It doesn't need to be a towering monstrosity, just... something more than an elemental sprite +1
Summons in this game are gross, I cannot believe how bad they look. They nailed so much imagery and aesthetic design but summons are iconic to the series yet look so busted in XIV... Even XIII with all it's hatred managed decent summons!~ Well... besides Shiva Cycle, eugh.

Scholars are funny enough wearing their book on the hip too, but with their AF carrying a book on their back. Meaning they have two books, but only use one.

i would much rather see the summor class be more dependent on your summors not just having your pet auto use his abiltys and not just have 4 of them. you should be a weakling and unable to case any real damage by yourself while your summon does all the major stuff

I would just like them to fix the summons to be a bit more responsive, allow us to disable each ability individually so I don't have to macro all abilities in with other spells. And fix issues with how some types AoE damage don't get damage reduction. Make our pets immune to ailments like doom and the stupid debuff in vale boss were you have to eat something to remove the debuff or at least make it so when we clear the debuff our pet gets cleared as well.
These issues area big quality of life issues for both scholar and summoner. In most part the pets do a good job using abilities but at time I would like to let Ifirit do his thing, but control when Ifirit stuns. Would also love to be able to manage fairy buffs. Hate it when I cast Fey Light and 5 seconds later fairy cast Fey Glow :/.
