Bots are now teleporting from mob to mob.

Good to know that your working on plugging whatever hole is allowing these bots to persist. HOWEVER, there needs to be a member of your staff who can investigate our reports in real time, as soon as they are submitted. The way things are going currently, I report someone for bot mining, that person takes 7 or more days to get banned. Durring that time they have made lord knows how much Gil, and sent it off to a different character(s) and/or sold it to a buyer. If you deal with these bots immediately, you damage the rmt business far more than simply mass banning every 2 or 3 weeks and doing little/nothing in-between with your ban hammer.

We have a firm understanding of the current RMT (real money traders)/cheating situation, and while we are working to implement countermeasures, it is true that we are sometimes reacting one step behind. While we cannot announce specifics of what we have planned, I do want to let you know that the development team and the Special Task Force (STF) are working closely together to implement measures to catch cheaters. We were able to catch some large scale RMT groups due to this.

Also, because it's the RMT and cheaters who strike first, the operations team can usually be thought of as reacting one step behind. However, as players have been saying, we agree that we should be finding and patching these holes from the start.

However, we will always be investigating, tracking down cheaters, and punishing them.

While we do not respond to your RMT reports, all of the information we receive is reviewed by the development team and STF and everyone on the team is extremely appreciative of your efforts. We apologize for the frustrations and inconveniences caused by the RMT and cheaters, and we will be working hard to catch them.

We appreciate your information about RMT you encounter on the forum, but please make sure not to include the URLs and specific cheating methods in your post. We ask that you please incude them in your reports instead.

it would be really great if you didnt punish legitimate players, you are losing allot of customers i really like ffxiv and i would hate to see it fade back in to obscurity because of terrible customer service, please please take the time and money to hire more gm's to investigate rmt things and stuff.

The teleporting mining bots just outside Ul'dah's Nald Gate, after a couple weeks of unimpeded 24/7 activity, were finally gone this morning (don't know if they are still active outside the Gate of the Sultana).

In their place is an even bigger (literally) army of the Hulk-type race, all identical and wearing the same clothes. Instead of teleporting and trying to hide underground they are walking calmly (nothing to see here!) from mining node to mining node, never stopping, never resting. I didn't report them yet but will if they are still there when I next logon.

One strange thing: about half of them had the usual nonsensical bot names, but the others had similarly sounding names (these are not the real ones) like Flying Griffin or Hungry Tiger.

OMG this is why I couldnt find diremites there. I thought Gamerscape was trolling me on the locations. Thats sad, I had no choice but to buy some in the market boards which were expensive.

This is ruining the game, I cant even level my weaver properly.

There is actually a Levequest in quarrymill that gives you 11 webs as a reward. If you google, you will find a guide related to getting past the diremite web wall

These webs aren't HQ and you shouldn't have to use leves to be able to get an item for crafting. The underlying problem is the problem.

Thanks for a response. But may i suggest that perhaps you all are going about it the wrong way? Getting rid of the gil first is the wrong way as it still doesnt eliminate the source of the problem, whats making them gil? The teleporting bots are.

Where are the "Red GMs" of old? i heard they were in 1.0. All it would take is for them to monitor the spots that ive seen teleporters weekly at and insta ban em. Well, it would be a step in the right direction. Hell ill do it gor ya for 8 hrs as a job if ya paid me for it lol. 15/hr. But seriously... im not sure as to why this cant be dealt with in a fast manner.

they aren't punishing legitimate players, those players TOOK ADVANTAGE of the fact that RMT existed in such a large scale. Most of the gil on the market is fake gil due to the dup bug where they would dup entire stacks of allagan gold pieces. People saw an opportunity to profit from RMT, they are not innocent.

I don't think bots are making the majority of the gil. I believe most of it comes from hacked accounts.
