Relic Weapon likely required for Crystal Tower access

Q. You mentioned that in patch 2.1 there will be item level requirements for accessing content, but what will the requirement be for Crystal Tower?
A. We don’t plan on making it as high as the Binding Coil of Bahamut. We’re thinking about having a relic weapon be required.

Considering that it's likely to take between 90 and 120 minutes to clear the dungeon (as per Yoshi's comments), I think minimum gear involving relic is a good idea. Wasting 23 other people's time with bad gear would be a no-no.

Crystal Tower was originally intended to be in at launch with the rest of 2.0.

Then intended progression is Hm Primals>Crystal Tower>Coils.

Technically, anyone in coils that has not got a piece of AF2 or an item from coils yet, are undergeared. We were never intended to attempt coils without the gear from Crystal Tower. But we're all too stubborn not to try anyway :P

You will most likely need to have beaten Titan to unlock it though, so yes, at least 1 relic will probably be required before you can do this.

I'm more excited about the puzzles that will require the 3 different, 8 man teams to split up to solve/progress.

I have a feeling it will require FC or friends to complete. Can you imagine a PUG of 24 people not flaming each other at some point?

Can imagine it perfectly well because it's exactly how WoW's lfr is.

Are you talking about ORIGINAL WoW? Because everything in current WoW is EZmode. No reason to flame when content is easy peachy.

Heroic raiding is not easy mode....I hate when people say this. I'm not saying its the hardest content in mmo's but very few people get through all of the heroic encounters quickly before any kind of buff/nerf.

But everything in current WoW HAS been nerfed. Like, extreme.

Seems harsh to me. I was expecting some like Garuda/Titan weapon, since it's a level 80 raid.
