Why aren't you subbing to Final Fantasy XIV now that the trial period is over?

This "old" thread already gave us lot of pros and cons, we don't need more new threads with the same topic: Subscription deadline is coming up and the question is: will you subscribe?

You can sub to support their work and believe they will continue the good work or just wait the new patches and decide later if you want to back or not.

I sure hope so. I get tired of new threads like this every day. Just leave the game to those of us who enjoy it.

Bad form. I'll be subbing, but these guys bring up legitimate concerns, and I know I'm pretty ticked that SE is throwing time and money at cross-product advertising (Lightning crap) while ignoring players wishes (vanity slots for 2.1, etc.).

Jobs are the same not enough specialisation/customisation at all.
Server latency issues where people are out of the ring and still get hit.

^This. Caveat: I feel jobs are quite good at differentiating across roles, but within a job theres no real specialization. Extra stats are pointless given the base stat build is preconfigured, and making it set on the base class and not the job only serves to contradict the armory system and exclude people from playing classes they otherwise might consider, it doesn't much facilitate customization within a job (i.e. if you went SMN and haven't leveled WHM, theres no way you're going to play SCH... so for a system that is overly DPS heavy they just exacerbated the problem for no legitimate reason).

I don't get posts like this. In what way does this ongoing discussion negatively impact you? It's not like they're spamming the forums. If you don't want to hear about it, don't read the thread and bump it with a post. YOU may not "need" more new threads, but don't speak for the rest of the community.

No need to get defensive. Healthy criticism will help the game, hope the Japanese community that the developers follow will lead them in the right direction.

I haven't subbed yet because SE won't take my money!
Instead of being able to play today, I'll have to wait 6 days until I can play again. :/

I'm NOT Subbing Until:

• Server lag spiking and AoE lag is addressed
• Gil Spammers and options to quickly blacklist and report them are addressed
• There are more options to get Tomes and GC currency. I do not like doing the same thing over and over again and the wait for it.
• There is more variety for appearance and skills

I like the game, but I won't pay a subscription for one that doesn't actively correct glaring issues or at least publicly release a timeline of those fixes so there can be accountability. This isn't a F2P nor B2P game and I refuse to be taken for a ride that blind fanatical sheeple (or the firms that hire them) seem to enjoy.

I wish the best for the rest of you. I'll be checking the front end and news to see when it's appropriate to re-check it out.

i might not be subbing because there is not much i want to do in game atm, on the other hand i really want to see what 2.1 brings so i might sub till at lest then cause i don't want to fall to far behind by just subbing when 2.1 comes out

I will sub, love this game... however.

1. Fix your "end game grind" because spamming CM/Prae/AK is BORING, why didn't you make level 50 versions of every dungeon? at least this gives variety.
2. Fix your RMT issues, they have taken over the game... and you're not even trying to deal with them.
3. Those that were hacked and recovered their accounts should be cleared from everyones blacklist, otherwise they are forced to start from scratch -_-

poor control from Square, for a game you spent 3 years remaking and wanted players to give you a "2nd chance" you should be trying your best to sort this mess, but at this rate you're barely doing anything but apologizing over n over.. sorry doesn't get you far when you're not taking action.

I subbed for a month, not sure if I'll play the month or beyond. I like the game but I'm sick of grinding AK/CM. Got into CM tonight and literally the first thing said was "lolzspeedrunzguyz skip CS!" tanks proceed to run around gathering everything but didn't tank half the stuff which ran around beating on the healers, then they went on about how bad the healers were because people we getting smacked. I just left, I hated the speed runs in AK I really hate them in CM unfortunately I understand it because the only way to get the tomes is to run long ass instances over and over again.

FFS add a damn "auto skip CS" option. They CS are awesome but I've already seen them all. If you're going to make us rerun the same damn content don't slow us down even more by making us constantly have to load/skip cut scenes.

Bummed, I really, really enjoy the game at it's core but there are a lot, imo, of problems at end game that right now just make it feel like more of a hassle then it's worth.

Disagree with all of you, except the 401 and 601 issues. Depending on how that goes, I might be force to quit the game.

Also, if all you guys are doing is grinding AK/CM or grinding FATEs, then I honestly don't know how you guys are still playing the game. Though I guess I can see some people simply enjoying the fact that they have many 50 jobs.

I'm also amazed at how many people who comment on the game's battle endgame when all they've done is AK. AK is barely the beginning of endgame, if you can even call it that. Get a good FC or static group; if not, you're never gonna see endgame.

"Fix RMT issues...." ha ha ha. There are no ways to "fix" RMT issues, they will always find ways to come back. SE has already made attempts to reduce the problem but there are no easy solutions. I'm willing to bet ALL MMO will be willing to give you good money if you can "fix" their RMT issues for them. Mindlessly whine and bitch all you want, RMTs are part MMOs, get use to it.
