Titan HM will not improve your skill. it just require you to run away from AoE and 7 other people who can do the same.

Selling runs is nothing new. People did it all the time in WoW and during my time in D3 people sold MP10 uber runs. I have no problem with it. I'm hardcore and even I bought a run. They had 1000s of dollars worth of gear and I didn't. Cost to me was marginal. Win/win for all of us.
There's all sorts of valid and legit reasons why someone would buy a run and yes there are illegitimate reasons as well but the takeaway from all this is that it doesn't affect your experience in the end therefore it shouldn't be your concern. Community be damned. You shouldn't be worried about the community. I was a major player on D3 and that community was utter garbage but yet I was there anyways. Just have to focus on the game and not get wrapped up in the politics/drama.
100% of groups only want geared and experienced players. If you mess up just once, it results in an immediate kick and or getting called extremely vile names/insults.
Majority of DF PuGs don't even last the first explode rock phase so there is no way to get 'experience' there.
Either wipe 100s of time in the DF getting frustrated OR buy a quick and painless kill....
Right now, there seems to be a price war on titan kills which goes as low as 895 gil on my server, LOL!
Yea, I'd love to learn that fight but I have no FC and absolutely will NOT go into some random pug to do it; it's worth paying to avoid all that BS imo.
So yea, my bet is OP and his supporters are in good FCs that have patient fun people in it, well sir rest of us have to deal with the worst people imaginable so it's no wonder many opt to buy a kill.

To be honest, as someone who's DD'ed and Healed on Titan I can understand why some people buy clears. It's heartbreaking seeing people who execute everything flawlessly get let down (usually by the same people) repeatedly - and it's understandably frustrating for them. I can understand that after so many runs of it people might get bored and look toward getting a group where they can get that clear. If an individual's skill was the sole determinant of downing Titan or not then I can understand some of these complaints - the fact is, it isn't down to the individual. Of course on the flipside there will be people who just can't do it and will just throw Gil at someone. If they have that Gil and want to spend it that way that's their perogative. It's nothing new to MMOs and even bad players can get good gear and it's certainly something you'll see more off once 24 man content comes out.

ITT: everyone assumes that people who buy Titan mercs are incapable of dodging or playing with skill.
Some people just struggle finding 7 other people capable of dodging, they themselves may be perfectly capable of killing Titan if they had a good group, mercs bypass this.
I 100% disagree with the OP, for some people their connection or computer make for one horrible fight in Titan due to its design and lag (time of day and server load seems to effect this fight also). Some people who know the fight and can call out every move in order in TS and pre move still get hit consistently, the fight is a total mess.
In the average time it takes to get a full pug that can actually handle titan, and will stick with the fight long enough to get it down you can gather/farm crafting materials to sell and buy the run (on my server at least, 200k is now the standard for titan). Its just sometimes not worth the time to wait till you get a group capable of doing it.
The point is, many people I know who have purchased titan (knew the fight and spent way too much time trying to kill him) stepped into Coil and have no issues performing their role and doing everything they need to. Why is this, well in coil mechanics work as they should, your out of something you don't get hit, you need to silence/stun and use the skill and it works every time. When you think titan is ilv70 and coil is ilv90 and people who cant get titan done and have no issues in coil (2 tiers ahead) it shows just how broken titan is. Add this to the clear outrage from players that it needs to be purchased just shows even more how messed up titan (hard) is and that it needs to be addressed.
There are some entitled little princesses in this thread it seems. So question for some of you, why do you NEED to buy your relic so much? What do you plan on doing with said relic after spending so much getting it? Raiding coil? because you're not doing that either without a set group, what's preventing you from doing titan with a set group if you will quickly find out coil can't be done either without one?
Titan fight is the last step in the relic quest before opening the Coil. I can't understand why anyone would pay for this, as if you can't even manage to beat this fight either because of your skills or bad gear or because you're unable to gather a group that can work together to beat the fight, how on earth do you imagine you'll be able to beat anything after it?
