Stop Buying Titan Kills

I'm posting this because I keep seeing more and more FC's on my server offering to kill Titan for people at a cost. Infact, one of them is selling their Titan kills for 500k a run where the people who are being carried through are more often than not dead; they are dead in phase 5 50% of the time.

These FC's aren't helping you. You aren't learning the fight. You're just going to need them again the next time you need to beat him for your next relic because you didn't learn the mechanics of the fight. Even that aside, it's downright saddening to see players resorting to having to "buy" their kills and even more upsetting to see our player base SELLING these kills. What happened to just wanting to play the game?

My FC is currently on the lookout for a second tank before we start Coil and currently we help groups clear Titan. We've been joining pugs and helping them and "giving away" Titan clears to people who ask. However, in our group (it's 3-4 of us) we don't "carry" you, you are still required to play your role and pull your weight but we will also teach you the fight so the next time you need Titan you won't need us and you certainly won't need to buy it from someone else.

Please, stop buying Titan runs.

Titan Tips:
1) Communicate with your group. Decide who is healing the main tank, who is healing raid, if you have more than one BRD coordinate songs with Battle Voice to get the most bang for your buck.
2) You don't even need a LB to beat Titan, so decide which LB and when is best for you group composition.
3) You don't need to stand entirely out of the Landslides in order to not get hit. You just need to be past the blank squiggly lines. (Gives people more space in Phase 5 during bombs+Landslide).
4) STACK for Stomps (easier healing for your healers) and DISPERSE for Plumes. Note: If you spread out as the plumes spawn in phase 5 the plumes will be closer together, which means yes if someone gets hit they WILL die, BUT you have more safe places to stand as opposed to trying to hide in a little triangle at the edge of the arena.
5) In Phase 5 when the GRID formation bombs spawn STACK on the middle bomb of the last row that spawns. Strafe/Side step out of the Landslide (assuming it's near you and remember the tip about Landslide). As the animation for the Landslide finishes, run into the centre of the arena. You will never get killed by these bombs using this strategy.
6) In Phase 5 when he puts someone in the Granite rock. Take a deep breath. It helps if you're the type to get nervous.
7) Practice. If you realize you could be holding a group back due to not being able to dodge, thank them for the experience and gracefully leave. You WILL find another group to do it with and you WILL get better at it. Don't get discouraged.
8) Remember to have fun.

If you do Titan once for a relic, then you technically never have to do it again.

People who buy runs aren't affecting your gameplay directly, at all, in any way, shape, or form; please stop making threads to complain about things that don't matter.

o.O Who said anything about stopping playing with anyone? It's not about that. It's about the community becoming ruined due to people thinking the only way to complete this content is to buy it.

Blame it on the community who refuses to;

1) Research the fight so they can learn how to dodge the avoidable damage.
2) Upgrade their gear so they can survive the unavoidable damage.
3) Upgrade their gear so they can pass the DPS or healing checks.

What they should do is make the Ifrit & Garuda HM fights just as hard. Weed out the tourists from the get go with Ifrit HM so they don't waste player's times in Garuda and Titan. The tourists might be able to afford Ifrit but not the other two.

People NEED their relic though, or haven't you heard? The amount of entitlement when it comes to these things is just amazing, there's so many people on my server with it now and yet what do they do with it? Stand in place doing absolutely nothing because now they feel like a cool kid, very few of them even attempt to touch coil the only content the relic would even be useful for. Oh but wait there they are joining a relic cm/prae run for tomes for darklight gear.....darklight that they felt was too much to grind out before their titan kill where it would have actually made it so maybe they wouldn't have had to be carried and could have joined a group on their own.

if i, or players who sell or buy runs, are not playing the game with you anyway, then WE not part of YOUR community to begin with - so again, why would we stop buying/selling runs from players other then you?

no one thinks buying and selling runs is the only way to complete content since there is an OPTION in the game to run the content WITHOUT buying or selling runs...hard logic to circumvent there, buddy

and to be honest, if you are not personally running the content with players whom you wish to not buy runs, then you have no reason to tell them to stop since you are not going to help them for free

People probably buy Titan runs because there's no way they'd get a group willing to stick around to actually win. Very few groups have this thing called patience and persistence which is almost necessary. Also having to rely on 7 other people can be annoying after a while and so people resort to just buying a good team. There are a lot of good players who just give up with pugs and who don't have an FC capable of Titan yet who just want to get it done, and paying for that team is the best choice.

I agree, it's sad to see our own community turning what was an amazing achievement into something as trivial as "who has 500k?".

Relics are relics for a reason, they should be extremely hard to obtain, and if you aren't willing to focus and do what is required to earn them, well then you shouldn't have a relic.

I take a little comfort knowing that 80% of the people doing this are going to get bored due to "lack of content" and will quit in about a month.
