The solution is easy, form your own group/join a FC. You should never expect a DF group to roll over everything. If you do, then you're the one in the wrong. Specially if you expect to be a "hardcore" gamer by using DF.

That being said, if you're nice to these new players, a lot of them understand feedbacks and tips. Of course there will always be exceptions (and I agree that the ilevel check is needed), but just find yourself a FC and you won't have any more issue.

As long as you're using DF, understand that others using it are helping you as much as you are by filling gaps. So just respect them and adapt yourself to them.

this. if you are really a hardcore player, then why use DF?

This is an easy solution, and the right one. I queue w DF constantly and get very quick runs. Occassionally, such as last night, I got a group of 4 new players who had queue'd up together. They informed me that "We're watching videos. This is our first run. Feel free to wipe or 4-man the boss if you pull without us." I thanked them for informing me before we got any further into the group, and I left. There were no hateful words, no outbursts. They wanted to run a certain way and I didn't, so we parted ways.

It's really not the catastrophe people make it out to be unless you bring it on yourself.

My guess is that the "Hardcore" players using the DF are not very friendly people and don't play well with others, thus nobody on their server wants to group with them willingly.

If hardcore people are so hardcore. Why are they using easy mode and using DF? Wouldn't it be even more hardcore to find your own group?

None of us are saying "Don't use DF." I'm saying if you're nervous about playing with someone new who wants to watch their cutscenes and doesn't know the fights, then don't group randomly with them.

You should be very aware of what happens when you hit Duty Finder. Don't blame the new person. There are other steps you can take to prevent this.

TBH, I don't even like shout parties, much less Doody Finder, I've found way too many dbags that way. LS/FC or gtfo.

But...but....those premade groups of all harcore dps don't want to wait around for a healer/tank to finally log on! They needs their speed runz noaw! Not that they won't still complain of the healer/tank quality and/or other dps DF found for them.

Edit : OP, for the record, if you are going to label yourself hardcore you should save yourself some frustration by not using the DF to fill in spots for your party/raid. Stick to like minded, geared, skilled, and/or what ever you deem worthy of "hardcore" players within your own linkshell, free company, and/or friend's list.

I did CM last night for first time. I convinced my 3 FC members with me to skip the cut scenes thinking I would be able to watch them later in the inn. After completing the quest I only see the cut scene before entering CM in the inn. We still saw a ton of fighting going back and forth started by some speed runners.

I'm going to run CM again tonight watching the cut scenes this time and ignore the speed runners' hate. Speed runners that join can drop the party if they can't stand it.

This problem isn't casual versus hardcore to me. Even some hardcore players like to watch the story as well for the first time. I know SE partially to blame for giving 100 tomestones at the end.
