There is no extreme mode currently. (2.1 will though). It's just easy mode then hard mode.I believe that Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan hard mode is a little underwhelming. Extreme version less so. In the next patch after it going to Be the Ultra Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan, than the Ultra Hard Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan?
New content is just that, new things never seen before. Not old things adapted, but new challenges, new stories (there should be a story behind why you are doing something), to expand upon the game. I would say those who are willing to trade out that for a new gimmick to old content are settling for mediocricy when we can have a great game.
God forbid that you have to work together in a team rather than getting one of the best weapon again strictly solo....70 wipes at HM Titan.
I can't stand the fact I'm dependant on 7 other people to get my relic weapon. It's gotten to a point where it's just not fun any more. People are too blind to understand Titan's predictable patterns or they feel the need to duty up with their god damned lv45 gear. Pre mades are out of the question because I'm not in an English server nor in a big FC.
The first two hard modes are jokes compared to this. Not sure how this adds up.

Oh god this guy again, the same one who doesn't know what rng is and the same one who wanted it to be a requirement to allow monks to roll need on bard gear even when the core stat is different. Until they come out with new harder content(2.2 it's already been said will probably add some nerfs) they should not touch this content at all with the nerfbat. You want your relic or entry into coil? you pass the attunement that is hm titan, if you cannot do that either by yourself with a random group(or fc group) or pay another group to carry you(which is already lulzy) you should not have access to either of these things.
If they nerf hm Titan then you'll be right back here requiring them to nerf coil because it's not faceroll, if you want to see the end content then get a group good enough for it and skill up yourself because I can guarantee you are not nearly as good as you think you are when you want them to nerf the current endgame.
Um, hard mode primals are part of the story? Are you confusing story with relics?
And none of the stuff required for main scenario was hard. Hard mode primals aren't even hard anymore.
Also what happens when you do finish Titan and find out the main storyline actually ends with coil because the primals added nothing to it? Would you require them to nerf it too just because the majority of players will never be able to finish it?
You say that players will leave because they hit a wall, well what happens when players finish everything there is to the game because you want it to be beyond faceroll? You honestly think people would stick around when they have literally done everything and gotten all their drops because you don't believe in rng?
While I disagree with OP, I can understand why these kinds of queries are posed. On one hand, you have the FATE party people, who get to ding 50 relatively quick, but without having to really hone their skills for a tactics-based fight. Then you have the abrupt change in difficulty from the third-from-last Scenario Quest up to the HM Primals. They either need to implement more thoughtful combat requirements in Scenario Quests prior to the last two, or make big-payout FATES a bit more challenging (but I am sure this is no small task, as they are zerged into oblivion). The presence of merc parties proves these problems persist.

I think it's less that Titan HM is too difficult but rather that people faceroll Ifrit HM wearing level 40 gear and to a lesser extent do the same with Garuda HM. Then there's Titan HM, which steamrolls these same people who then complain that it's too hard.
The incoming gear check will fix part of this, thankfully.
I do think that instead of asking to make Titan easier, the difficult ramp up to it should be more even. Bump up Ifrit HM difficulty by about 50%, and Garuda by about 20%.

What "very hard" dungeons are you talking about?
None that I can think of, some are annoying or require better than fresh lvl 50 AF and better avoidance tactics, but very hard...lawl...
I guess people missed the big story quest icon that was above the quest givers heads that unlocked HM primals, and after beating titan the big story quest icon that was above that quest givers head. If they had nothing to do with any plot, they could have just used normal quest icons. And believe me, they are part of the plot, not matter how... boringly introduced the 3 were. Of course if you have yet to beat Titan HM you wouldn't know there was story after all of that that is about Louix's and Bahamut's disappearance.
This as well. It is also a submenu in your inn room for viewing the cutscenes for it.
