Sanjuro - - Asura - - FFXI - - Go Go Puppetmaster!
only Garuda is the Real Reference of FF11, Shiva is not "inspired from FF11" in past she had Long Ears, the Gem and blue skin.
Atomos is the Same 3d Model as FF11, both inspired by FF5 boss, Titan and Ramuh are similar,
but they are more evolutions than references, remember it was their last real appareance in a FF series.
(as said the Summons/primals are a staple of the series, if they appear in multiple FF is not anymore a reference)

Gladiators CLass is not a reference to FF13, this is too generic (commando isnt even a tank role in FF13)
Very Generic...how can this be a reference <.< ?
if is cleary said "im in Trance or he is in Trance" is a reference, if is just "flashy" cause more stronger boss then is just a generic boss powerup from Videogames.
Yep, this is a reference, Ruin magic first appear in FF13
Yes this was in FF6, sure is a reference

Point is, someone brought up that the Primals in FFXIV are quite similar to their FFXI avatar counterparts, and I'm basically agreeing to the point. Compare the primals from FFXIV to FFXI, and you can see that they are more similar to the FFXI counterparts than any other FF Games.only Garuda is the Real Reference of FF11, Shiva is not "inspired from FF11" in past she had Long Ears, the Gem and blue skin.
It is very clear that these primals were based on the FFXI avatars.

The Admiral has 2 muskets, one called the Annihilator and the other Death Penalty.
The Death Penalty is FF7 Vincent Valentine's Ultimate gun.
Already been pointed out as FFXI's relic/mythic weapons (Other two GC leaders have FFXI's relic weapons as well) but the reference to Vincent's gun wasn't pointed out if I recall.http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...any/maelstrom/

Sahagins resemble their FFIV counterparts
Morbols move and act like their FFXII counterparts
Crocs,Mantis,Basilisk(snakes) appear both in XII & XIV with a striking resemblance
Pretty much out of ideas... since i'm coming down to bestiary hits lol

Under the FFXI references there is a slight error. The Tizona is the Blue Mage's Mythic Weapon not Relic Weapon, Blue Mage's never received a Relic Weapon as the Relic Weapon sword was Excalibur and was exclusive to Paladin and Red Mages.
EDIT:
Also the MRD/WAR Skill Mercy Stroke shares the same name as the Weaponskill of the Relic Dagger: Mandau in XI.
EDIT #2: Also during the very 1st maintenance during Early Access I was able to see the GM server and it was named the Zvahl Server after the Castle Zvahl Zone in FFXI. This was done while being in the Character Creator and getting to the option list of which server you wanted to be placed in. The list was empty as it was during a maintenance but the cursor was still able to be placed where the list normally should be and the name Zvahl Server was displayed with the the description simply stating GM server rather than NA/EU/JP. I haven't tried this since then because I got a chuckle out of it and didn't think much of it until I saw this thread.

Garuda
inspired from FFIII as a boss

Just thought of another obscure (non FF, but still Square-title) reference - the title of the main storyline quest Final Flight of the Enterprise is a thinly-veiled reference to Final Flight of the Osiris, a short CG film set in the Matrix universe that Square's now defunct film studio Square Pictures did for the Animatrix compilation.
When I saw that title I immediately smiled and thought 'hmm, I wonder what that's poking fun at?'![]()
