Honestly, ask yourself this one question: Has it REALLY stopped people from getting really far ahead within a matter of weeks? Has the lack of gil drops in dungeons REALLY stopped the world from getting insane amounts of gil, where RMT's are advertising 1 million for 6 USD? Has the limit on myth tomes REALLY stopped people from discovering ways to exploit their way through end-game content, and then publicly "denounce" their own use of said exploits as a means of merely notifying SE about the exploits?

I can see you're not on a Legacy server, i'm afraid aside from RMT's most people on the newer servers don't have as much money as the legacy servers, but aside from melding gear your gil won't buy you into end-game content that easily.

There is no way to dodge the Mytholgoy cap. The only people to exploit Turn 5 so far submitted a ticket to Square Enix explaining that they didn't complete it legitimately and made sure they didn't receive the 'World-First' claim due to a bug.

Was an awful lot of words to say: anybody that "turns themselves in for exploiting" isn't doing it as a, "White Hat" exploiter, especially when they post public screenshots of themselves doing it, and then brag about all the new lore and items they discovered from their exploits. It was a flaw in the design of the fight. Why would you get so mad about it?

They owned up to the mistake that it wasn't their fault and that they didn't finish it properly, there's nothing the party could have done to prevent it.

It's only 'exploited' if it's done over and over again.

I recall reading somewhere that the prices of current Myth items may be slightly lowered when even better stuff becomes available, I decided to hold onto my tomes just in case it happens.

Because they executed the "flaw" purposely. They knew what they were doing, they knew it was bugged, and instead of resetting the fight, they continued to kill a mob that was standing there doing absolutely nothing after deliberately setting it up to do absolutely nothing. That is exploiting. Cheating.

No. I wouldn't deliberately set it up to exploit it in the first place. They knew they were doing it. It requires VERY specific behavior on the part of the people participating in the fight to get the boss into bug mode - behavior that anyone else would normally say, "Why on earth are you doing that? It makes no sense to do that when you are trying to kill ---- ohhhhh, I see. The boss cannot do anything now."

It doesn't just happen by accident and without anyone knowing it will happen, putting them in a position of having to choose whether to kill a bugged boss, or reset it. They set out with the sole purpose of bugging the boss in the first place, in order to kill it.

Considering the FC and people in question who did it never reveled their identity you're simply clasping at straws that aren't there.

Gild buys you into endgame contand eyxtremly easy have enough and you buy the crafted lvl 70 gear better than darklight. a Full set hmm you get it vor aaround 3kk and you have better equip as darklight :9 easy as that. so GIL GIVES you easy access to endgame contend at least on ODIN we have enough crafter for that xD

Er on my server, that crafted gear is well over 1 mill per piece...that's if you can find it that is since there is never more than 2 on the MP (usually zero); last time I checked HQ ones are priced over 10 mill gil.... also shout advertising crafters are pricing it around 1.3 mill per so it's not cheap...at all. Keep in mind this does not even include material + melds which will cost even more on top of the base item.

There is only four ways I can see anyone affording those extreme prices and that is a) gil buyers b) people who sell HM titan runs. c) the crafters charging this much d) legacy players.

I will never get that much gil so mythos gear or bust.

Anyways, the myth cap is kinda low imo. I mean there really isn't much to do once you hit the weekly cap and have full DL except hopefully find a FC capable of good coil runs which is rare.

edit. guy who calculated myth needed for full suit forgot to mention the 900 required to +1 your relic which is another 3 weeks.
