Does this mean scholars are gonna get some cool stuff? or maybe a umm *cough* FIX TO PET AI?

This was when they expected healers to be in short supply. The issue now is they need to give bonuses to tanks. Healers have 20+ queue times now lol. There's plenty of us around.

Edit: For whatever reason they failed to guess that ACN(being the new, hot class) would be overly abundant on all servers and that DPS times sucking would entice most players to roll SCH to shorten the times.

Fixing Pet AI though should be a standard fix, and I support that. GL

If that's the case then they are just flat out delusional. I have never seen so many healers in an MMO in the past decade of my MMO life. As I mentioned before, post lvl 30. I have 20+minute queue time for a lot of instances(Not including AK, I"m aware that is usually full).

I just reread that section of the translation. Their reasoning is that they are short on low lvl healers except their reward is a lvl 30 mount but when we hit 30 the number of healers skyrockets because of Jobs lol.

Ya, when it comes to pet AI Selene definitely feels unusable due to her shoddy AI logic atm. It is rather frustrating attempting to make use of the speed skill+ only for her to use skill speed+ soon after which appears to overwrite the other speed+ ability.

Then of course if she heals just once she decides it's then a good time to use her silence ability which makes that ability rather useless lol.

Do hope they fix her a tad cause she could see better use but with how she is setup atm, she can be rather unruly/inefficient. I would say that perhaps the easiest way to fix it would be to allow us to set if the skill should always be auto or manual, and when a skill is set to manual the only time they'll ever use it is if we tell them to, since "stay" doesn't do that job, once they heal or use one ability they'll decide to use the rest of their abilities making it quite difficult to use them for the best circumstances.

So, Selene is pretty sweet if you set her to Obey. To do this target the enemy or some enemy and press the Obey key on the pet bar. It will make it so that you can manually control her special abilities and she will still throw out heals. So you get to decide what speed is up, and you can silence if you need to which is useful on some bosses, but our silence is worse than other classes since it is tied to a pet.

At earlier levels (1-30) you have a shortage of healers for instances since only one class can queue for it. Raw numbers issue here.

At later levels you have a shortage of tanks because higher instances need a tank that actually knows what the hell they're doing and isn't constantly turning the boss and screwing up DPS positioning or making it so that cone effects get blasted back towards those positioning DPS *facepalm*. Or, everyone who wanted to roll as a tank has hit max level, gotten their AF gear, and gotten bored of it seeing no advantage to continue when they're losing more from their repair bills than the instance rewards.

Ultimately the problem lies in the lack of incentive for people to re-run instances as a healer or tank. This is why most just fate-grind their levels. It isn't that scholars are less powerful, or even the fact that they take more skill. It's the fact that dungeon instances are not worth their time once you get through the story and grind out AF.

SCH is not harder to play then a WHM. If anything it's the opposite. Nearly zero emity management, laughable MP issues, the double edged fairing doing stuff FOR you (though yeah, that needs a fix, bad AI) WHM's have it much, much harder then SCH do in my opinion. At least when it comes to proper spell usage, hate management, and MP consumption. One mistake will send a WHM into aggro. One resurrect will harm our MP pool by a lot, unless we pop SoS. Playing a SCH on a friends account, I didn't have to worry about any of that. It was almost sickening how safe SCH feels compared to WHM in these basic gameplay regards.
