I'm not going to resub either....not at least for another 6 months. The game has too many issues right now. The game is fun but the issues outweighs the positives for me.

All of you saying "too many issues" care to explain? Or will it be the typical "LOWER GCD! GILZ! HARD MODE IS HARD!"
I think they will lose a healthy amount of WoW subscribers to the new patch 5.4, however, don't be discouraged, these people (like many of my friends) did join this game to check it out and will likely be back once they are done with 5.4. What happens after the WoW players return to this game will matter, will SE keep them and all other players when the next WoW Xpac is relased? It is had to say, Blizzard is a very resilient company, but WoW is also a very old game.
Already paid for three months and thus far I don't see myself unsubbing! I just hope many of the rude and unfriendly people will leave soon!
I'm looking forward to a bit of a population drop to be honest.
I will keep subbing for the next patch or two anyway to see how the game progresses. While there is nothing I would immediately label an "issue" (which for me would be something that was barring me from enjoying the game entirely), there are a lot of things I'd like to see either added or adjusted, and I'd like to see progress in that department over the next number of months.
I find the forum community vs. the in-game community to be somewhat different (in that the forum community is entirely worse), though I do agree there is still an unhealthy level of jerks in-game as well.
That being said, I think as a matter of per-capita, I've encountered more jerks in my time in WoW than I do in FFXIV. I find that I enjoy the community in FFXIV far more than WoW, and I do play both games. And while there may be MORE people in WoW, I definitely do not think "more" = better quality. I think WoW definitely has more people but that none of them stand out in the crowd, where as I can find plenty of individuals that come across to me as outstanding players with good personalities as well... something I always had trouble finding in warcraft among the slews of people and/or children.
No leeching, No PL'ing, just 100% playing the game.
Most modern MMO communities are just as bad if not worse, games like Neverwinter and Tera are two prime examples of how bad it can get. I personally haven't come across many issues in this game though, even in DF I've come across some pretty nice people, and even made a few friends who I found on my server via DF.![]()
I've already grown pretty bored of the game and I haven't even reached level 50 yet. The game isn't terrible by any means and I do enjoy the combat but there a re a few design points that have me questioning whether or not I will remain a subscriber:
1) Story gated by group dungeons - I honestly hate this. With fates as they are, it's becoming harder and harder to find groups for these runonce throw away dungeons. I enjoy grouping but I dislike it when it's forced on me.
2) Not enough quests, replayability. I'm not about to grind fates to level a 3rd or 4th job. Fates are about the most mind numbing and uninteresting content in the game. I need more quests to keep me interested even if I could just repeat side-quests.

I'm sure glad the Forums are just a small percentage of who actually plays the game. I think this game will do great because really there is nothing out yet. They picked the perfect time to release this since Arche Age and all those big 'sandbox' games are dragging their feet so badly. This game will be huge in the meantime and I'm glad because it's an awesome game no matter what you read here...Especially once housing comes out.
