I do not need unless there is a lalafell in the pt. Need to take all the powerful weapons and gears away from them. Who knows what the might do with them.

I've seen this happen. Was running wanderer's palace with a full DL BLM, a robe dropped that both her and the whm could use. The whm was still in AF body, but the BLM won it. It sucks for the WHM but you can't really call foul on the BLM because she has every right to need on a piece of gear if the option is available.

I don't think anyone (with sense) would complain about that.

If you're rolling "need" on something you actually have a use for, go for it.
If you're rolling "need" because you want to NPC it for pocket change, or turn it in for seals, you're kinda just being a dick.

How? I turn in gear for seals then I turn around and use those seals for gear for my other characters or I use it for EXP boost for crafting and gathering. You'd be a dick to deny me the opportunity to get seals from a dungeon that doesn't normally grant seals.
