Hi Kaldiwen,

My advice to you is start looking for a party on your server now so that you can run Binding Coil with them later. Binding Coil cannot be duty found and you'll probably want to build synergy and trust with people on a fight like Titan rather than after the fact when you're a lone wolf looking for other lone wolves.

Don't rely on Duty Finder to fill your slots. There's folks in Mor Dhana, Ul'dah, and even in South Shroud that shout for Titan Hardmode.

Don't go into Duty Finder with the wrong expectations, e.g. the thread post. It's like me coming into game expecting people to be tolerant and patient. I would like it, but as we've seen, this is not the case no matter how many times folks try to justify it.

I seriously encourage everyone to parse themselves. If you are not at 130 dps or higher (on Titan, not dummy), take some time to reevaluate your gear and practice your rotation while moving. If you have all DPS at 130+, the fight becomes significantly more feasible. I don't think that's really an elitist mindset; it's a threshold to aim for that enhances everyone's party experience and saves time for all involved.

I was amazed until I realized that you didn't use the duty finder for your actual kill.

There is no way you can kill Titan using the duty finder. It's simply not possible with 2 tanks and 2 healers.

Don't do HM Titan in the DF, it is not worth it as you only need 1 tank and it is going to assign you 2.

Find an FC to run with. You'll be fine if you save your cooldowns and the healers keep you at 100% before Mountain Buster in that phase. As long as you have enough HP to survive Mountain Buster + 2x auto attacks, you're more likely to fail due to the rest of the raid failing mechanics.

Though I admit finding a PUG as a WAR is basically impossible.

But actually beating it in a Duty Finder group is going to be actually impossible, unless you end up with 4 players in full darklite with at least garuda weapons. Then ... maybe, but probably not. And anyone geared like that is going to be running it in FC anyway.

I don't understand why there are people who don't understand that gear is something to work for :/. The game teaches you how to play any level 50 that has actually PLAYED the game and not listened to FCs telling them to grind FATEs should have learned how to play the game. Why are there so many bads?

Yes, but they made Ifrit and Garuda doable by DF, so now the expectation has been set. :/

Hmmm if you want geared players then you shouldnt have used the duty finder in looking for members. What a moron, we all know duty finder sucks in this game and yet you still use it and now youre mad if some trash gear joins you? It is like knowing the food is hot and still you eat it then complains to the waiter.

besides titan isnt meant to be queued in duty finder because you get 1 dead weight tank.

It should be a custom party comprised of 5dps 1tank 2heals

Until there is some sort of minimum check for DF, people will continue to queue up for them ill-prepared (both in gear and knowledge). That's the risk you take when you do the DF. Personally, I only try to DF hard fights (Titan for example) when I don't know the fight and want to learn. I'll watch videos, read up on it, and ask friends... but actually DOING it is a different experience. Once I feel confident about the mechanics (I don't have any confidence in a DF group to actually win...), I will join a premade. I'm not saying you CAN'T beat it with the DF, but even premades are having a difficult time doing it... so it could just be a long waste of time. =/
