It's astounding the number of players that believe that having all your AF gear is your combat license to take on all the Primal HMs.

Considering i have beaten Ifrit and garuda with very few wipes, in fact garuda on second try, even with bad DPS, and titan is on hold since i have not been playing much latelty, i;m not sure what makes you think it isn't good enough. You may want to rethink that opinion.
Keep going the Blizzard way, guys. You're doing such a great job at it...After receiving a lot of feedback in version 1.0 about the job artifact armor quests being overly frustrating due to the fact that they were placed within dungeons or at the end of difficult battles, the development team decided to make them easier to earn in A Realm Reborn.
As mentioned, there are definitely more difficult challenges available for players who seek a greater reward for their efforts.
*sigh* Just where is this game going to end up next...
I think it should be the base factor in which end-game content you can participate in. Maybe there's something better out there for gear, but having a full AF gear set which isn't complete until a player hits 50 should allow them to participate in level 50 combat. I mean, if having all AF gear still doesn't mean you're ready for these fights, how will you ever get the better gear that comes from these fights to participate in these fights?
"There's a time when a man needs to fight, and a time when he needs to accept that his destiny is lost, that the ship has sailed, and that only a fool would continue. The truth is, I've always been a fool."
It was annoying to her when we didn't have duty finder. I do feel they took it way too far on the other direction with just giving you the pieces. It's all said and done now, there is not reason to change since many already have the gear and have outdated it. For the future, please avoid giving out such quality gear for such an easy quest. It undermines crafters and really ruins the AH for all gear at that level. It's just too good.
The problem with all those level 50 chars that zoomed up there in 1 week, they don't know how to play or listen in teams. They just zerg'd their way up through fates.
I don't know how many times I've told people "YOU CAN"T SIT THERE AND SHOOT ARROWS. you NEED to move" "um... what?" so they go afk. This game needs a virtual "Shove boot up players ass", or a "vote kick" that kicks that boots them from your team/instance and blocks them from joining an instance for 15 minutes because of the stupidity they have.
FF14: Oh you're looking for an instan... oh you have the stupid flag on you. Sorry, wait 15 minutes.
player: yo w8, im not stup1d
ff14: yes you are, you're now banned from instances for 1 hour. Go back to school and learn to spell
I would say that the best option would be a difficult single player instance with npc's. A quest that puts player understanding of job role in party and its execution to a final test. A test that u cant get pay-carried through compared to the relic quest.
Exactly. It's like not getting hired for a job because you don't have experience, but how can you get experience unless you get hired for the job?I think it should be the base factor in which end-game content you can participate in. Likely to ensure that people are at least marginally geared for the level 50 dungeons and story quests. Why is there absolutely no effort or work in obtaining the class defining AF armor? At level45, you basically just have to talk to NPC's, loot bags on the floor, or open random chests in a zone that's of no danger to you. There is no effort involved, it's extremely easy.
The level50 quests are slightly harder, having an actual boss fight, but still incredibly easy.
Why doesn't AF require dungeons? Or party bosses? Why is basically "free" full blue armor upon dinging 45 and 50?
I think AF armor should be an accomplishment, and some actual work involved, would make it more fun. Maybe make the gear a bit more powerful since it would require effort.
Sure AF+1 exists, and actually requires effort and dungeons, but I don't think your class defining armor should be so easily obtained. When every single person is running around in full AF the second they ding 45 and 50, it makes it feel a LOT less special and more generic.
I'm sorry that other people's gear is such a threat to you. :-\
I think that's more due to the fact that there's no set "direction" for players at 50 (beyond the storyline quests) and you're immediately handed Primal HM quests as soon as you're done.
I did Ifrit in pure AF gear with some white-quality level 30-40-ish level jewelry, and then was immediately handed the quest to do Garuda. But I know I am not ready for Garuda because I don't have the gear. But someone for whom this is their first MMO? They're not going to automatically know.
