Man, you complain a lot.I asked them not to do this. Many of us did. We didn't want tacky glowing gear as it would clash with the beautiful natural aesthetic the game had going for it.
Then they did it anyway.
Oh well. Just another of my many minor annoyances with the game. Luckily the pros still outweigh the cons so I'll be playing until I seriously get fed up with something.
I do don't I?
I think it rubs me the wrong way that my expectations and desires went in a totally different direction. Especially sense I feel the final patch of 1.0 was actually starting to make it a good and original game. So I'm sorry if I get on your nerves.
Here's a cat.

Half of the relic without glow look horrible. With glow, they look epic. I have no problem.
it sorta fits with the MNK relic imo, it looks like they're on fire.
The Sphairai, Artemis Bow, Holy Shield, Thyrus, and Bravura look awful with the glow.
Curtana and Stardust Rod look fine with their glows. I'd say they even look good.
The SMN and SCH books most likely look terrible with the glow. I haven't actually seen them.
Each relic has its color glow.
Black Mage and Summoner: purple
Paladin and Bard: white
Monk: orange
Disagree with Artemis glow. It fits the name of being a holy weapon with the holy glow.
Summoner book doesn't glow purple. It's a pale white/green.Black Mage and Summoner: purple
