I would suggest as others have to explore other classes and job roles, there is a lot more to be done within those guild quests alone.

This game isn't designed for you to hit level 50 and just run end game. I know that's how most MMOs are designed, but the approach is that once you get your battle job to 50, you are expected to either 1) level your subjob for cross class skills or 2) level crafting/gathering. There are also a ton of "non progression" based things you can do.
Approaching this game as a gear treadmill is probably the wrong mentality.
Wrong, this game IS designed as a gear treadmill, especially with how harsh gear checks are past ifrit. Gear is such a huge deciding factor in doing anything past ifrit/4 man's at 50, as well as there being absolutely no way to progress your character at 50 outside of dungeons. This game isn't designed for you to hit level 50 and just run end game. The entire end game is gear up to be able to do this - > do this until you have enough gear to be able to do this - > etc etc. Yoshi-P also said this in interviews many times, it's the design.
Crafts? Both ones I want at 50 are 50 in AF. Gathering? Fishing is 50 in full AF. Subjobs? Fully leveled for everything I want.
Learn to read, this isn't a complaint about "I have nothing to do", I have plenty to do, it's all accessible via instantly porting to dungeons from any city. That's the complaint.

Cool, you beat the game in 3 weeks. I don't know what to tell you.

You would have to be actively avoiding leveling to not be 50 at this point. That or you play 30 minutes a week.In fairness, you didn't have to zerg fates to blast to 50 either.. kind of your own fault there. This always happens ppl find the best exploit to rush through the game an blam!!! they cap out an start asking for content... yet the majority of the game are still plodding along doing their thing. hell my highest char is 34 an I have no interest in being 50 anytime soon....

Agree with ChanceSkeleton. I really doubt SE intended players to reach level cap in under 3 weeks, which is arguably why they nerf'd speed runs in dungeons and will probably end up altering the fate system in some way as well. As a long time fan of SE (back even when they were squaresoft) almost all of their games intend you to search all nooks and crannies of the world for content and not simply exploit a min/max feature in a race to the finish.
Best idea ever. You are why playing MMO's is still viable. Gonna get me a bunch of cool hats and claim my piece. You could always go out and claim an area of wilderness as your own, slaughtering anything that would dare to trespass upon your newly acquired plot of land.
And since you might get tired of protecting your land-home from these vile beasts , you could invest in different shaped hats to let other passing by adventures know that you have a quest to offer them.
Eventually after repeating this process thousands of times your plot of land would turn into the new central hub for all max level characters, or other would-be pioneers, forcing you to once again set off to claim new land in far away areas.
Also, I'd love to see some kind of Hunting Log that would award Tomes for certain, harder than usual mobs. Or something of that nature.
How many hours have you played in total? Did you use leves to quickly level your cooking and fishing? At all the uninformed people saying I "rushed to 50". I slowly leveled to 50, doing every single dungeon multiple times, every single hunting log, leveling up my cooking and fishing to be within 5 levels of my battle class, doing all the story, doing almost every side quest, crafting good gear, helping friends with story missions, and making sure I finished my cute looking sets from Brayflox(Battle mage) and acolytes(the first 3 dungeons).
(...)
yeah I'm calling bullshit on that one.I only did main story quests with hunters log and FATEs thrown in on the way between quests. Aside from a couple of levels around 47 where I did FATE parties, that got me to 50. You don't have to have blasted your way to 50 with zerging FATEs to be 50 at this point.
I've done most of the sidequests next to story quests, nearly all of my hunting log, a lot of dungeons and ran in fate parties and I'm still barely 41.
Everyone that is currently level 50 definitely put in a fair number of hours. Having multiple jobs at 50 is bordering on hardcore status. They're lying if they say otherwise.
