It would be nice to beable to add my friends by there actual tag, rather then the character there logged into. So when they are playing on another server we can still talk.

hi I agree tha the UI's get in the way but am not in agreement with scaling them down. For older players or players who don't see well they are great. One of the most readable UI's I've seen in a game, very frustrating to not be able to read what you need to do. I do agree with being able to size the UI's though and that they get in the way. Especially when you're pointing at an item and the picture of the item is in the way of you seeing anything else. Thank you for bringing this up.

Bring back the Beta P3 low level dungeon versions. They were not particularly difficult, but the level of difficulty there was in a low level dungeon was just right for party role experience. Apart from that they were just more enjoyable, yes, fun even. What remains of them in the launch version we have now, all feels rather dry and soulless.
It's a pity that we can't post videos of those testing phases, so people could see the difference, but those who were in the testing can.

Searchable logs, particularly crafting, yes, by the gods, PLEASE! I've been asking for this since Alpha. With all crafts at 50 since 1.xx days, I have a hell of a time remember which craft makes what, let alone which specific 5 level range it fell under.[Sorry, snip] Add a search box to a Crafting Log.
Ever accepted multiple Trade leves and can't remember the recipe level range? Or your current recipe requires a mat/item made before but you can't think on top of your head what level it was? Well, this happens to me a lot. Finding it would be so much faster with simple search function!
And while you at it, add it to gathering, fishing and hunting log too. It will save time when I look for particular crafting/supply mission mat. Or I could type in location and I'd know at glace if I need to kill something while I'm passing through an area.
"Shark oil, was that ALC or CUL? That's just mashing two big fish together, shouldn't be hard, maybe level 11-15? No? OK, maybe 16-20? Nope. Maybe I'm over estimating it, maybe it was just 6-10. Nada again, huh..? Time to go look it up on some random site since I don't have an iDevice and Libra isn't available on the PC." Picking the right class for intermediary metal working parts is worse, but at least the type of metal can give a hint on level range.
But really, ugh...

Please add either a retainer bell in crafting guilds, make a quest or item to expand storage capacity of player, or do like some games and allow you to use materials that are stored in your safe(retainer) without having to stop crafting, run to the nearest retainer bell and switch out items.
Other stuff:
-bring back the "/call 1, /call 2, /call 3" function from XI
-allow right click on a name on the chat window to report or blacklist, it would make blocking bots and spammers easier
-ability to ping item info in the chat window
-dressing room/preview function so you can see what an item looks like on your character before buying/wasting gil on it
-the ability to apply a weapon/armor skin from one item to another but keep the better items stats. this would also keep people from looking less cookie cutter and allow personal creativity and expression. they can even make it so the item maybe loses a stat or durability level upon doing this.
-choco dyes from XI
I would like to be able to talk with NPCs while i'm on my mount, I find it kinda weird that i have to get off just to accept a quest when i'm not in a city.

I would love to see implementation of almost all of the suggestions contained in the first post. Most of them would go a long way to making things simpler, streamlined, and nicer without going against the spirit of the game.
Some of them are probably much harder to implement than others. Please focus on getting the easier things done sooner so we can enjoy the improvements!
This but more specifically,
Please re implement the Journal checkboxes to choose which quests are displayed on the UI duty list.
In Beta there was a feature giving us a checkbox in the Journal to toggle which quests were displayed on our UI duty list. It had checkboxes next to every entry in the journal and I could prioritize what I was focusing on at the time.
I now have to often open my journal to find the quests I'm doing because it does not allow me to choose which ones are displayed. This clutters up my map with confusing often overlapping quest rings and also clutters my UI with quests I am not focusing on.
Really hope they plan to add this back and did not decide to do away with it.
Also, talking to an npc resets the levee quest map markers on pop up map..
If you click the Map location in the journal for an individual quest, it pops up your map with the targets for that quest displayed. I keep this map open sometimes to find my way in multi target quests. When you talk to an npc while doing that quest, it erases that map's targets for that quest and you have to re-open the journal, click the quest's map location button again in order to see it. Clicking in the UI map to pull it up, will not fix this. It only resets the levee map markers when you click again, the duty list and/or journal entry's map location.

Hai! I'm Vahl, in ur mmorpgs, sort'n my inventory and putt'n 2 many H's in my name since FFXI..FFXIV Inventory Tetris Champ
I would like to be able to:
Untrack quest/track only the quest I want to.
Ride my mount while having the choco out. I have 2 mounts right now so I don't understand why I can ride the other one while he is out.
A way to make it so my DOT'S and DEBUFF'S show up first/larger than everyone else's when I target a mob.
Being able to dismount automatically when going into a city, talking to an npc, and attacking mobs.
I am fighting a major problem. I would like to see solution implemented.
I am playing from two different computers - one at home and the second is at work. I found that gear sets and hotbars are stored locally so I have a totally different layout on these 2 computers. So.
- Implement server-side storage of gear sets and class hotbars!
Did not test but I am sure this is also relevant to macros. So bring it on!
