My guess is that the mobs may probably aggro the entire party instead of just the player. For instance, when the mobs aggro the Paladin, it'll also have hate toward everyone else in the party until everyone is dead.

^This exactly. Unless there are doors that stop us from proceeding, the only real difference will be everyone gets a repair bill instead of just the tank. The only way to make the trash un-skippable is to remove the leashing, even if after the tank dies they turn around and kill the healer, as long as the mobs reset to thier original posistion
Tank sac pulls to one corner, healer swiftcast-raise, everyone dies, mobs leash, tank accepts raise, reses healer, proceed to boss. Its been done in other games this way before
EDIT:
Appears they made the mobs super fast lol.
EDIT2:
Ok other than the fast mobs and great aggro range, they added magical barrier on first area where you have to kill the group outside it, the second floor requires you to kill the Gargoyle things that spawn from statue for the door to open. Third Floor might be full kill, not sure yet.

This will not stop speed running so long as mobs reset to thier starting posistions
If the Allagan pieces in the chests aren't gold this isn't going to give you enough Gil to repair after all the trash, and I don't see SE using that much forethought but thanks though! I don't care either way about the dungeon but if people want to speed run they should have had the choice... If you don't want to, run with your damn FCs! I did and we chose to do the speed run. Sigh.
Edit: thanks for the "other" idea. We'll have to use that. What are they gonna do now, completely change raise's functionality? If that happens this game'll go downhill as fast as WoW has fallen. -_- some things you just have to deal with.
I don't approve of elitists but if they don't wanna kill trash in your pug run wait for then to leave and pray we get a group kick option.

To be honest I bet this won't work let's say they make it everyone gets enmity. Everyone does the normal speed run and runs to boss, healer closely follows tank and as soon as he is about to die hits swiftcast raise. Now everyone dies like normal and mobs will run back at a guess. PLD nows accepts raise and raises the rest of the party. They need to make it so you have to kill all mobs to open boss gate!
Youre not grasping it are you..
she means the fact that it'll simply detect whos the next aggro target and kill them, without returning to their starting position until all targets are eliminated.
+ Allagancoins from chests.. you mean the chests you could speed run right?
Probably true. Honestly, the best way to counteract this would be to just not have the door unlock until everything is dead. Or at least until multiple specific enemy sets are dead.To be honest I bet this won't work let's say they make it everyone gets enmity. For all we know the main bosses could simply be linked to all "compulsory" trash before them, attack a boss after skipping the trash and you get a horde of deadly scales kicking your head in.
Or, while we're playing the wild speculation game, running past trash could suddenly spawn a thousand aggressive spiders which never despawn forcing an instance reset.
I'm actually looking forward to this. First time in there and noticing the stalker knifing the treasure hunter indiscriminately in the corner I said to myself "well that can't be good for us"
We proceeded to be murdered in the hallway in similar fashion not no long after that.
I still think there needs to be unexpected benefits to killing trash though. Crafting materials, decent gil drops, the rare phil/myth stone, or something like that. I mean once exp is sorta out of the equation it just becomes a chore if there is no upside.
Of course in the case of Wanderer's Palace the benefit is not taking a dirt nap.
smh. all the cry babies got what they want.
speed running was time consuming as it was taking about 18 hours of runs to fully gear. Amdapor Keep is a very long dungeon filled with unnecessary and unrewarding trash mobs that drop nothing and takes at least an hour to complete. People can't be serious with the "I want to play the game as it was intended not speed run *snicker*" argument....there is ZERO reward for killing trash mob. I play progression games to make progression....not waste my time on unrewarding tasks.
