Remove Garuda+ Duty Finder requirement from story quest

If you don't have friends to run this with maybe one should consider the real cause of the issue here...

I tend to think that those running around calling everyone bad tend to make less friends than people who actually take the time to assist new players learn. I find that a majority of XIV players are either new to MMOs or came from XI which is a different beast. Helping them learn how this game works would be paramount rather than calling them bads not giving back to the community in any way.

Garuda (story) is such a joke... I do not see why so many people have an issue with it...

But really, if your not willing to do it via DF due to the bad players you come times get with it, get a damn FC and run it with them. I'm often jumping in to tank or dps titan or garuda if a FC mate needs help after an attempt via DF. We wont just pull em through the fight, but once they make an attempt to learn and do it on there own once, we will join and show em how its done.

Now if you want to ask for Garuda (hard) to be off the DF, I may agree and feel for you

This game has a disproportionate number of horrible players. I've gone through 5 groups where people are still being hit my the cone you LoS behind rocks after 20 attempts. There's no cure for that level of bad, please don't make me associate with these horrible players that have wasted hours of my time. This fight is so mind-numbingly simple, but there are a greater number of simple players who can't comprehend these banal mechanics. Fix it please.

Garuda's easy - done it with multiple pugs. Maybe you need to explain the fight better since you're so perfect.

I did the Garuda fight for the first time a few days ago and completed it with a Duty Finder group after about 7 wipes. No one left and no one got mad about the deaths. We improved as a group after each death.
Maybe next time put a group together on your own server if you are having bad luck with Duty Finder?

(I personally don't like cross server Duty Finder because those people were awesome and we probably would have become friends if we were on the same server)

Duty Finder requirement? There's no Duty Finder requirement. If you don't like DF, form your own party and go in manually.

You, your shadow, your ego and the delusional being created by the thoughts of how awesome you are could form a party and kill garuda, no need for duty finder.

Noob mode Garuda is easy lol. I did it with a PUG, took 4 or 5 attempts but still.

I had the exact same experience. It was a very fun fight, and it would be really sad to see them remove it just because of a few ruffled feathers. (*muffled rimshot*)

Equally novel Response. Took me 6 tries with duty found players... You've just got bad luck, make some friends and do it that way.

Oh, the only one at fault in those parties was the healer, he lagged, got caught out.... Yet I persevered and won, without being a negative nelly-- the entire time I was supportive and said "next time!" Or "follow the archer, he's got the right idea!"

I could have much more easily dropped party and gone with my FC, it just takes a possible attitude.
