Especially you male Roegadyns. It's quite annoying.
Thank you.

Thank you.
You can use your inn and no one is in there
I feel you, that's why I usually work the market from the comfort of my inn room. I'd advise you do the same.![]()
I know about the alternative. It doesn't stop being annoying, though.
I don't know why S-E didn't just make them non-collidable. Having to do two zone transitions because the latest Roegadyn is curious about what it feels like to have a retainer bell shoved up his anus is rather irritating. I actually ended up writing a target macro, but I shouldn't have to.

good luck telling everyone to do that.
I just did. In case some people didn't realise they were being annoying, unintentionally. I hope the guy that went AFK for 4 hours on the bell in Ul'dah was a one-off thing.
Whether they listen or not is an entirely different matter. *sigh*
Going AFK on the bell is... odd. But other than that, the reason a lot of players are right up on the bell is likely so that they can actually see and target the bell themselves. It's one of those vicious cycles.
I know I'm guilty of it myself, when I need to access my retainer from the market wards and I can't see the bell through the characters.
I don't mind people clustering around NEXT to the bell, it's when people sit ON the bell that we get a problem. You can activate the bell from about 2 yalms away, nobody needs to sit on top of the thing. Especally not in a robe that covers the entire bell.Going AFK on the bell is... odd. Currently, if the RMTs really wanted to get attention/mess around with the economy and push people to use the market board slightly more instead of digging around in their retainers, all they'd have to do is create 3 fat roegs in hemp cowls and sit on top of all the bells in the 3 cities 24/7.

Easy solution is for SE to slightly change the bell design so it is on a pole which extends above the head of the tallest character. Thereby it won't matter as you'll always be able to activate the bell.
Dunno about a controller but with kb/m just hit num 0 to target and use the bell through a crowd.
