Will PS4 ARR require a PS+ subscription? The question nobody's answering

Actually, he said it's up to the MMO publishers, in which case, Yoshi-P has said previously shortly after the PS4 reveal and "Crystals Call" trailer came out, that they wont be requiring it. All OTHER online games (like CoD/GTA/Killzone etc) will need PS+.
I mean think about it, why would anyone want to pay three times (purchase, sub and PS+) with two on-going subs? The only thing I know that does that is Xbox Live + Netflix (and other streaming services on Xbox).

Please, I'm on my mobile and wont be able to get to my computer for some time, and I think my daily post limit is coming up, but look online, a quick search for "Yoshi P Xbox" or "PS+ Xbox ARR" along those lines, you will find an interview with Yoshi-P himself saying that PS+ is NOT NEEDED for ARR to be playable on the PS4... everyone in this thread saying otherwise needs to STOP spreading false information.

Nope, you misread it. I did too, and so did many others. You should go back and reread it.

All MMO's on PS4 can be played without a PS+ sub fee.

Since the PS4 isn't out, the PS4 version of the game doesn't exist, and my lack of clairvoyance make it difficult for me to answer this question. I do know that it will be likely something that Square and Sony will work out.

This is nice news if true, and I understand some people will not want to have to subscribe to PS+, but even then saying "most of us" is probably innacurate - I'd imagine quite a lot of us will be happy to get PS+ anyway just because it looks like a good service. FFXIV is most definitely not the only PS4 game I'll be playing!

Im pretty sure they sumwhat answered your question before. Sony, Not SE, said that they will not require PSN+ to games with a sub. However, they leave that option up to the Devs of the game.

The whole shinanigans with Xbox and FFXI was because of Microsoft Policy and SE had to go with it if they wanted FFXI to be on the 360.

I didn't say Yoshi said anything or didn't say anything. I was going based off what Sony said. If something to the contrary has been said, then I don't know about it and don't mind being wrong. Calm your tits.

This is because Microsoft needed help entering the Japanese market. They made the deal with Square to be excluded from the Gold membership in order to attract players from PS2 to 360 since PS3 wasn't an option minus a few gen one systems. You could be certain should Microsoft be able to pick up FFXIV that Gold will be required.
