I had probably the best luck I could have hoped for when doing Castrum Meridianum and The Praetorium for my story quests. For Castrum, we had 5 of the 8 people skip the cutscenes, but the 3 of us that watched (myself, a Paladin, and a Bard) never received any push to hurry up, and we still had all the fights explained to us as we came to them. For Praetorium, the entire group was new to the place and extremely friendly, everyone watched the cutscenes and talked about them after and we all learned the boss fights together, finishing the place with only one wipe and 20 minutes left on the timer.

I sincerely hope that others finishing the story get the kinds of groups I lucked into, especially the Praetorium one. That group made the final dungeon something special, and I can't imagine how awful it would feel to be rushed by jerks through such a critical part of the story. There are still awesome people running this stuff, so don't give up hope on it!

    2 things...really easy

#1 - Do all the group stuff including cut scenes with your free company friends, or just your real life friends. That way everyone is happy, and all can enjoy the cut scenes. OR...

#2- Just watch them anyway, and be a bully as well to those who will try to bully you, making you skipping them

Although yes, it is true, you can watch all and any cut scenes in your rooms at the Inn.
Just open the book, then select the good TAB, then select the right cut scene, and play them using the slider bar on the bottom.
ALL cut scenes are there for you to enjoy, and no...this is not a lie.

    Thankies! = )

I'll watch the cutscenes if it's the first time. But will generally advise the others at the start of the run that I plan on doing so(along with that it's the first time I'm running it).
If they don't want that they are free to leave then. So far no issues - nobody just upped and left.

    Why is thie an issue?

I really can't grasp why people are making such a big issue out of such a thing.
Why just not let the people watch if they want 2, I had loaded of time where either I or other ppl watched the scenes. Not once did anyone complained about it or whine.
Also ur talking about 7 other ppl having to w8 on this one person, but maybe this person is new and has never been there and just watches this new scene. You and your grp are gonna tel him to not do so?
Lets be realistic, such scenario will hardly occur since most ppl are watching them and just enjoying the game without any issues. It a small minority that complaints and it is they who are the problem and not the other way around, or rather making it into a problem.

Dont make it into such a big thing it's not worth it. Just take a chill pill and w8 a bit.

As time goes on less and less people will be watching cutscenes. They'll only appear once for that player in-dungeon, so there's no reason to skip. Next time you play with them, there'll be no cut scene! A new-adventurer will inconvenience upto 7 players ONCE, but you're trying to disrupt as many as 7 every single run.

The only time I have skipped a cut scene was Stone Vigil and it was the post-win one because we'd wiped 3 times on the last boss and had little time to finish in. We all agreed to do this since we had no time, but ONLY because we had no time (we finished the boss with 15 seconds on the clock). Coming back to it, I think that it activates after you exit so we didn't actually need to.

To reiterate for those that can't find them, you must hand in the quest before all the scenes appear in the book, but you shouldn't have to view them like this.

I always let people watch the cut-scenes if they want to or its their first time. I watched all mine the first time through and I want everyone else to enjoy the awesome story this game has ^^. Also its hard to go ahead when I'm usually the main tank and wait for everyone before pulling. I love when people get butt hurt when other's won't skip cut-scenes. Infact I'll usually start watching them again if that happens.

I've healed a couple Praetorium runs where the group got impatient with one or two DPS who wanted to watch the cutscenes. Honestly, the levels of abuse some of the cutscene crowd were receiving disgusted me. After the DPS got locked out of the first boss, I put my foot down and told the group that I was going to sit outside encounters and wait for everyone to finish their cutscenes before joining any fights. If the group wants to go in without one of the healers, I hope for the party's sake their other healer is capable enough to solo-heal the encounters. "Playing the healer/tank card" is usually enough to make the rest of the party behave.

I don't really care if you're aiming for a speedrun to get some quick tomestones. I'm doing sporadic Praetorium runs for tomestones as well when my AK group is offline/busy (I cbf pugging AK when so many fresh 50s are queueing for it. Speedrun or not, AK is a gearcheck, and the fresh 50s don't satisfy the gear requirements.), but I'm not about to screw up someone's first time through the dungeon just because I want some tomestones.
